p.s. wanna adopt an american? :p
Hello again Rekap :) not to worry love ;) there's a few good joints off that one anyway.
I must admit it's kinda like a production line with the growing..........I just never seem to stop, has soon as one crop has finished I start another :o
You know when I started this journal I thought, Ah this is a good way of showing how to grow a crop the easy way ;) but it just seems to have been one problem after another. However I don't mind at all, you see it's been a good learning experience for me, I have found out that my methods aren't foolproof :o
With the problems of the condensation, the droopy leafs, the bad reaction to the HPS and then the appearance of a herrmie. It's learned me that my methods are far from perfect and still need a bit of fine tuning ;)
Do I want to adopt an American  .................anytime :) since coming on this site I have found them to be really lovely people ;)
love mand xxx :)
ya! so when can i fly out? :p
take a peek at my journal and let me know what you think, i got a new camera so the pics are like 5454254-7974587040985794235 times better :p

MAND, US AMERICANS ARE AWSOME. AND I APPOLIGIZE NOW IF I MISSED IT IN A THREAD SOMEWHERE,,, BUT HOW FAR INTO FLOWERING ARE U?
Hello Rekap :) I had a little look and yes they are much better pics ;)
You're plant is coming along very well and hopefully wil produce a good sized harvest :)
Hello BOYZNUS :) Well I had to have a look back to find out when I switched to 12/12, I never bother trying to keep track of dates :o
It was about the 20th of October when I started the flowering so it must be about 4 - 5 weeks now.
Anyway yesterday I noticed a couple more male flowers on two of the other plants :( but they were easy to just pick off.
I am seriously considering cutting this lot very soon. I am starting to think that they are not got going to amount to much if I give them another 3 -4 weeks.
At the moment they are quite resinous and if I keep finding male flowers then I will harvest them early and get the next lot started.
However not to worry, the last crop was quite reasonable and I have plenty of that still stored away, so this crop will simply add to that ;)
I'll maybe give them a little while longer and think about it, see how they go on ;)
love mand xxx :)

Anyway I'll just add a few more bud pics :)
love mand xxx :)
mand, you are the bomb, I really enjoyed this journal, hope one day to get my plants like yours pet:)
You do a fantastic job.
Hello Mand I just put my seeds in the soil yesterday. I took your advise on
the 4 sheets of paper on the bottom and top of the seeds and it worked
great  . I'm using a MH 400w for the seedlings now but that
thing kicks out lots of heat I have it about 5feet from the pots cause of the
heat Im installing a fan now; cause the temp reached up 90%F
yesterday  . R U doing a journal for ur next grow? and how
much should I water my plants
Hello Rastagal :) Thankyou very much ;) and don't worry I think you'll get bitten by the growing bug and will soon be growing plants much better than mine. Just don't let the other mums at school find out, they'll all want some ;) :)
Hello B :) I'm so pleased all is going ok and yes a fan does sound an excellent idea so you can get the light closer ;) I've got the opposite problem at the moment it's freezing but the plants are safe from the frost, the cold just makes them grow a little slower.....it slows there metabolism down.
As for watering when they are little I just use one of the plastic spray guns and fill it with water, let it stand to get to growroom temprature and just damp them down with that. I just keep them slightly damp, don't over soak them.
Oh dear another journal :o , I might leave it for the next grow and do one the time after in the spring................I'm not really sure yet.
love mand xxx :)
Mand Im having a major prob, hopefully I can ride it out like you did but its
gonna take more major work, I already thought I did enough (guess not) I
think Im going have to install an A/C in my closet. because when I got home
today from work the temp was at 109%F with a 3ft fan. This sucks so bad I
was even thinking of calling it quits, its bad cause I already invested about
$350 like 6 hours of hard labor and Im going to have nothing to show for :(
Why Me Take a look Mand
Hello B :) Wel I tried to reply best I could, don't worry just try and get some air in there and cool it down.
To be honest I think that's all you can do ;) .
And B, "DO NOT QUIT".......get that AC running and the temp down and you will be fine .................honest ;)
Well I've not had anymore male flowers yet :) and I've been messing around with the camera on different settings to try and get a few better pics.
Mind you they still look the same to me, I'm not very good with cameras :o
I'm thinking about just swoping back onto the HPS bulb again tonight, just to see how the plants react to it .................if they don't like it then I can just put the MH back in ;)
love mand xxx :) .
Next lot different camera setting ;)
love mand xxx :)
Awesome! mand! those plants look really healthy I must say and by the looks of it probably @ around 5 weeks into flowering or so? correct me if I am wrong,,,,,,your plants look so green! for running that far along in the flowering stage! great looking plants I am entering the 4th week of flowering and everything is looking yellow lol...........wow! Nice Job I must say!
Hello Mellow Man :) Thankyou very much :)
I have to check back in the posts to see when flowering was started and yes about 5 weeks :o .........went on 12/12 cycle on October 20th.
I put the HPS bulb back in last so I'm keeping an eye on them now to see if there ok with it, any signs of drooping and they will have to go back on the MH bulb.
There's been no more male flowers yet, that's the one thing that will make me harvest them early if there starts getting anymore of them ;)
I'm hoping though that things go ok and then harvest around Christmas time.
It won't be a big harvest but they are very sticky now with resin, so with luck the quality should overide the quantity ;)
love mand xxx :)
Mand I know you had some trouble throughout ur grow but thier coming along great.
by the way thanks for those little words you posted a day earlier because of you I think I would've gave up. Now the plants are growing real well i managed to get the temps down to 83%F by leaving the closet door open-(didnt want to but o well). Thanks Mand

I should also ask are you adding nutes of any kind to the plants because the green looks excellent!
Hello B :) and thankyou love ;)
I'm pleased to hear that things are going ok now, it can get very frustrating at times "this growing lark ;) ".
Anyway you're not allowed to give up, I'm the only one who can do that ;) I tell you I can get really "mardy" when things don't go according to plan :o
Hello Mellow Man :) I'll try and describe the situation ;)
About a week after switching to 12/12, the plants just went all limp and droopy. Anyway I was having some serious problems with condensation in the growroom at the time. So I put the MH bulb back in and they seemed to pick up, I gave them a little while and put the HPS bulb in and they went droopy again.
Now I have honestly no idea what the problem was, the HPS bulb was a new one for my last grow and has only been used for about 8 weeks prior to this grow.
So last night I have put the HPS back in to see what happens, if they start drooping again then I will finish this grow under the MH.
The next crop I will do as normal and if the same happens again then I will have to buy another new bulb and try that.
To be honest this crop has been a proper pain, normally a crop will grow with the minimal amount of attention but this one has actually caused me some stress :( .
Mind you I think doing a journal of it hasn't helped, I knew from the begining that it was tempting fate for something to go wrong :o
I've already cut one plant because it was going hermmie on me, but not to worry there will be an harvest and they do seem to be quite nice buds in the respect of the amount of resin they producing :)
The only thing in the way of nutrients I use is Phostrogen plant food, I just put a pinch of it in the watering can now and again ;)
love mand xxx :)

Now I have to disagree on you with that one Mand  Because if you didnt do the journal we all would have never met such a wouderfull person with remarkable advice and expertise. So thanx again not only from me but from everyone I would like to say
Hello B :) , Awwww that's really very very nice of you to say so love ..................Thankyou very much :)
I do think though that by keeping a record of the grow it has actually made it more stressfull. Problems that I would not really bother too much about have become ......well kinda Arrgghhh
It was going lovely untill just after starting inducing flowering, normally a grow just seems to "flow" along and requires very little attention. This one just seems awkward, it's not going as smoothly as I would like :o
The HPS bulb is back in there on it's second day, so I'm just keeping an eye on that ;)
However this grow is not going to produce any great yeild, there's still away to go yet but I know by now that it's going to turn out a smallish crop.
What I'm pinning my hopes on however is that it is going to be reasonable quality, after a slowish start it does seem to be producing resin very well, I've tried to take a few bud pics in the hope that they will show the resin starting to spread :)
Thankyou :) ..................love mand xxx :)
Mand your plants look great. Nice to see some female growers around here.
heya mand, your luvly ladies are looking damn sexy!
i see you use phostrogen, thats what i use too! i was gonna try some more expensive ferts but it seems to work fine so im just gonna stick with that too!
still had no luck with the vita lites, looks like you can only get them via mail order!
have to get credit card sorted!
Keep it green! :D
Hello! :D How are you , Mand?? Doing great ,I hope! Good to see your crop is doing well. Your pics are a journal in themselves, looking back from the first pics you posted on through till your last ones is interesting and irmative view of a good grow,(IMHO) And thats not to cut your informative text short either. It's a great journal! You realize it has been viewed well over 4,000 times already. So, don't cut yourself short it is a good journal and the minor problems you encountered only made it better. You handled them perfectly and we have all gained from it, I'm sure!!!
I have just moved and due to a situation with the landlord it was a surprise necessity , very sudden!!! In short it's been a nightmare. Moving my grow was something else :p :o :D
just hooked my PC back up and thought I'd say hi! Its acting up a bit so I'm going to run before I loose what I have typed to ya already, C'ya later
your plants look great
peace :D
Bill
Mand thanx for all your Help. So how are your ladies doing, fine I hope. What happened when you switched the bulb the last time? How did they react. Talk to you soon byeeeeeeee
Hello TC :) Thankyou love :) I've noticed more girls growing on these boards just lately, that's good I know when I first posted I felt a little nervous.......kinda like the odd one out :o
Hello Highjinks :) yes I've always used a little bit of Phostrogen in the water and it's only a couple of quid for a big packet and that lasts for quite a few grows ;)
Oh yes the vita lites, I looked all over the net and didn't find any in the UK, there was lots of imformation about them but no one selling them.
Thanks love ;)
Hello Bill :) I'm absolutely fine love, it's been a little busy here this last few days but I don't think I've been as busy as you ............ eerrrrrhhh moving :( , I hated that, all the upheavel and comotion.
I'll just send my best wishes that you very soon settle into you're new home and hope you will be happy there :)
Hmmm the pics on the journal , well they say a picture is woth a thousands words ;) ....................a little confession....sometimes I really haven't a clue what to write, so a picture says a lot more than I can :o
Hello B :) Thankyou ............no problem at all ;)
Well they've been under the HPS for three or four days now...........I'm kinda not sure I've lost count already :o
Anyway not a great deal of anything has happen really, all seems the same so far.
I have to say though I am impressed with the resin production, these are turning out to be some of the most stickiest plants I've ever seen :)
Thanks guys .....................love mand xxx :)
im going to have to agree with that, thos girls look sticky as hell :pQuote:

Hello Rekap :) I had a little look and I have to say you have done a super first grow there love :)
Well what can I say about my lot...............not much really :o they seem to still be ok under the HPS.............there's not really much happening.
I'll be just glad when I can cut this lot and get another crop started ;) ..I start getting really impaitent at this stage ;)
love mand xxx :)
I haven't posted on here for a long time...but will for Mand.
If I had plants that looked like that I'd make sure that I let them go as long as it took for them to reach their utmost potency. They look great and what really amazes me is how nice and shiny the leaves are! Very healthy. Looks like it was the humidity that caused them to wilt huh Mand as the HPS sure doesn't look like it's causing them any pain! And the trichomes are to die for!!
Absolutely no way...you just can't...positively nope...you can't hack those girls down before their time. Be a travisty. You'll get some major poundage off this crop Mand!! Probably at least a bale! ;) IF you let them live!!

Mand how many girls are left with now?
Hello Marc :) it's very nice to hear from you.......How are you ?...........and have you been shoveling snow ;) :)
Well yes the plant's are nice and green and they have a shine to them but in all honesty (apart from the crop that failed one time because the bulb was worn out) this is prehaps the saddest looking crop I have ever grown.
Honestly Marc since the drooping they have never fully recovered. When I say they are struggling I mean that they are not growing as usual.
Usually a crop will just seem to have a "natural easy flow" to it, this one did during the vegitive growth but since then I just think it has struggled.
The one saving grace that it does appear to have is the amount of resin being produced, the camera doesn't seem to do it justice.
Just the most gentle brush of the fingers against the buds will make the fingers very sticky ;)
The amount of bud in weight though is quite poor, but like I say it's not a worry at all because the last crop was quite reasonable and I have more than enough of that one left ;)
I was just thinking of a few minor improvments I could make to my growing methods, firstly to get the shed painted white because I can't see me transfering the growroom for a while yet. Secondly I could prehaps germinate less seeds (prehaps ten ?) and put them in larger pots. This would allow more light to the lower part of the plants.
Mind you I won't do this for the next grow, I'll wait for next springs grow ...............well it's winter now and I really don't fancy messing about out side very much :o
lovely to hear from you Marc :)
Hello Turtle :) No problem , hi-jack it anytime you want love ;) :)
Hello B :) well I was left with nine females, one turned hermmie so I have cut that and it is at present drying. There are two very sad little runts in there that are going to produce a minimal amount........to be truthfull there not worth even counting :o
This leaves six females that I hope the quality compensates for the lack of quantity :)
love mand xxx :)
Your not into cloning are you mand? always from seed? what strain do you have growing?...............I see the frost on top of the cola nice!
hey mand when do you transplant ur plants? Do you use pots or buckets? how big should I get my pots/buckets? I know to many questions I'll stop now :D byeeeeeeee ;)
.... and it's a well deserved Five Star rated Journal too   . Your just too kool for school, woman. :D
Plants look healthy ( take good pics too, how ?) Sure am curious as all hell what it was that freaked out your plants back when you put them in flower under the hps, from veg state????
Left you a post under my "Moving grow room", thread. Didn't want to high jack your thread although I'm sure you would not have objected anyway
Peace
Bill :D
Hello Mellow Man :) That's right love I always grow from seeds, although I have taken cuttings and cloned houseplants before but never cannabis plants.
I suppose it's just the same principle ;)
Oh yes the more frost the better, that's the bit that counts isn't it :)
Hello B :) ask as many questions as you like love, no problem at all ;)
Mind you if I can answer them that's a different matter :o :)
They were re-potted at three weeks old on this grow, I'll just re post a little pic ;) .
The pot size ?.........oh dear you've got me there :o I read about different size pots and tubs but it means nothing too me, I wouldn't know what a gallon sized pot was if I saw one :o
Mine are like small bucket type pots, I used to grow in largish plant pots but I was in the supermarket one day and around the gardening section they were selling these big black plastic tubs. Anyway they were 8 for £1, so I bought a couple of pounds worth ;)
Hello Bill :) and Thankyou ;)
I really don't know what the problem was Bill, it could have been the bad condensation, it could have been some kinda "shock" to being induced...........I think it might have been several factors just coming alltogether all at the same time...............it did knock them down though I don't think they ever fully recovered from it ...........but never mind ;)
The photo's Bill, well Marc told me how to take closer pics, he told me to press the macro button on the side of the camera ;)
A little confession ..........I manage to get my son to take most of the pics.............because they usally seem to look a bit "fuzzy" and not quite right when I take them :o
love mand xxx
oh I'll just post the re-potted plants at three weeks, B ;)
wow plants look good. What soil did you use and any thing else? Did you pre germinate before you put them in the soil? paper towel method? Just wondering. I'm gonna start tom try to grow soon
Hello M :) I just copied this post from a few pages back for you.........
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello B I find that the best way to germinate seeds is the paper towel method.
Put about four or five sheets of kicthen roll on a plate and give them a sprinkling of water but drain off all the excess. Put the seeds on the damp sheets and cover with another four or five layers and damp them. Just remember you want them damp not with pools of water on them. You can use toilet roll but it kinda disintergrates, kitchen roll is better
Then just put them out the way somewhere, an "airing cupboard"/"hot water tank cupboard" is fine, it's dark and the tempreture is nice and even. However it's really not too important were they are put, I'm just telling you my favourite place
Remember to check them now and again and make sure they don't dry out. As soon as the sprout appears put it in the soil, with the sprout end pointing downards.................just remember "pointy end down"................and that's it
That's the method I use ;) .
The soil is from a compost heap I made in the corner of my garden, I put in it anything that will rot down easily, I also add a pinch of Phostrogen plant food to the water now and again :)
love mand xxx :)
hiya mand
Not posted for a while but been keepin my eye on things in here. forever pickin up little tips off other growers- you know how it is!
you appear to have lost heart in that grow of urs and i know u had a few probs but they`re lookin fine to me mand - as u probs know i`ve got 4 girls about a week behind urs -think i stuck them on 12/12 2 days after bonfire night.
i think your plants look a lot healthier than mine - lots more green leaves as most of mine are turning yellow and dying but i`m pretty sure i have fatter, longer and larger buds than ur having at the mo -- sorry not tryin to be a smart arse or anythin and say `` mine are bigger than urs` or any crap like that - just sayin as i see it. i think its probs because u switched back to ur MH for a while and i don`t really think ur getting the right spectrum there for bud develpment. Glad to see u`ve managed to get ur HPS on them agen and they seem to have taken to it this time!!!
God only knows y they reacted like they did to it b4 - i was thinkin u had a dead bulb for a while but maybe it was all that condensation??? who knows???
Anyway u`ve still got a way to go with them girls yet - plenty of time to get some really nice crop!! and they are looking really healthy still and frosty as fuck so stick with it and above all be patient!!!
U women can be so impatient sometimes!! haha
Happy Christmas
Digi
PS i stuck 20 seeds in paper tonight and along with the 6 clones i have that survived -( out of 8) i`m lookin to be busy!!!
Hello Digi :) How are you :)
You are right, I have lost a little intrest In this lot :o . I think by writting about it and taking pics, well it's kinda made hard work of it all.
I've even had times when I been worrying about them .................... I never do that
Awwww Digi don't worry I could never imagaine you saying "mine are bigger than your's" :) , that made me smile to read it ;) I hope your's are a lot bigger.
I was looking in the growroom this morning and what really stuck me was how much space there is, normally it looks overcrowded.
Like I have said before "I quite good at growing leaves but not so hot with the buds" ;) . Although it's not something I worry about because I always have plenty for me :)
You do sound like you're going too be very busy :) ............... isn't it about time you did an update ;)
I'll just add a few pics from this morning because I took them and for once I don't think there too fuzzy or anything :)
love mand xxx :)
