No smoke report to speak of,.... the wife isn't very critical of her meds, but knows the good shiznit when she gets it. This seems to help real well with her back pain and spasms. Tho IMO it kinda couch locks her (true of most strains that help with her pain)
I tried a puff, (Work would have my ass if I had randoms  ) Citrusy and Harsh,
Having not puffed in almost a decade I can't say how it would effect my wife,... or any other smoker. But, for me anyway, the first 45 minuets or so I HAD to be doing something! brain was whirling a million miles an hour,.... then permagrin set in with the cotton mouth and for the next hour or so all I wanted to do was surf the net/ watch TV and munch on something..... Mostly it reminded me of when I was smoking in Highschool, and the "Top Shelf" strain of the day was "Skunk" or "Creeper" :stoned:
Anyway, I digress. :o
I figure I'll keep up with the posting here since the outdoor plant isn't kicking to flower yet, so nothing exciting going on there, tho I may have to take up some topping and LST to keep her below the fence line.
Here's tonights pic of my former mother plant at Day 10 flowering. See Yall in a week! ;)
LMAO:jointsmile:Quote:

how long did they hang to dry, and how long did they cure? cannabis is like wine, it gets better with age. i smoked some of my stuff after 5 days of hanging and a week of curing and it was still pretty harsh. i cured a couple weeks and isnt so harsh now. just remember to try and make the process as slow as you can. slower, properly cured cannabis will have the greatest flavor and burn smooth.Quote:

my G13 is like that too, million miles per hour at first, then cotton mouth, then pretty much couch lockd:stoned: spaced out.Quote:

im excited to see the harvest from this girl. i want to scrog 2 of my girls in 5G pots and have a 4'X5' screen full of buds next time around. ill be watching:thumbsup:
I asked the wife for a thought on Diana's harvest,.... "Much stronger" was all she had for me :D That'll work for now I guess.
I really am looking forward to letting this go all the way to completion this time, I was too eager too get the perpetual harvest going and started clones too soon. (thus the early harvest of Diana)
Well I knew I was going to go thru and clear the undergrowth below the screen,... but I didn't figure I'd be cutting SACKS out!
Turns out even tho purple was looking really healthy and had female pre-flowers all over her tops, she did the same thing the first two did when I put them to flower,.... just as buds started to form so too did sacks at the bottoms of the branches! :(
As with the first two, the sacks seem limited to the bottom and even branches covered in sacks down low seem to be 100% female up top :wtf:
If Prim pops sacks out even tho she was cut from a branch that had nothing but Female pre-flowers on it at the time of cloning I'll cut every one of the strain down.
Vance, Keep a close eye on those cuttings,.... I think you'll be just fine but beware!
Are you completely sure that there isn't any light leaks in the grow room?
I've been questioning those since day 1. ;)
I'm figuring on giving them a good amount of veg time before flower in hopes of some stabilization, stress wise. However IF they hermi, I'll throw them out.
Good news is the Durban poison clones I traded to you should be very stable. I got those from a guy in Fort Collins who has been growing the OEM mother for quite a long time without ANY hermi's!!
:S2: Tomorrow I plan to "save a lot of money" by switching to Geico. :S2: I just got a quote, and literally I will save $100 per month!! Guess I should have looked at that lizard earlier.:D
However that means I can FINALLY afford the A/C I need to flower these two monsters I got back in JANUARY. If all goes well I should be flowering officially starting tomorrow.
Yep,.... I think its something to do with whatever I did to almost kill the plant a few months ago, I can't be certain of the cause, but I know it's not light bleed.Quote:

My 2nd batch of 4 clones was taken off of her once she was much healthier, I kept 2 of them and was going to Scrog one and do the other natural, The other 2 GDP clones were given away. So Prim is the first one of that batch that's hit flowering,... No signs of sacks yet, and it's day 10 today,.. just about the time the sacks showed up on mom.
Vance hooked me up with some cuttings off his Durban, So when all 3 cuttings rooted I had to destroy the Scrog GDP to make room to keep a Durban mother, and the other 2 Durban cuttings were destroyed in order to stay under my plant count.
I checked in with my friend that took one of the clones from the batch of clones that Vance has, she put it under 12/12 right away, and has seen no sacks or nanners. So I suspect the more recent clones are fine, I'm curious to see how Vance's do with some veg time on them.

Quick update on the outdoor plant,.....
Nothing much to report, temps have been in the mid 60's overnight and weather has cut the light cycle down so I've got lots of pistles,.... theyre gonna die off I'm sure when the cold front moves out, but it's good to see em!
Little over 3' tall, bushing and filling in nicely.....
Fuckin neighbors cat pissed in the planter,... if I see that cat again I'm gonna cover the top of the soil with mousetraps.
seems to want a bit more N so I'll be feeding veg nutes tonight.
Here's a pic before I go to work. :hippy:
Well,... I knew when I saw the hole in the soil where the neighbors cat had pissed in the potter that eventually I'd see problems,.... and they popped up yesterday while I was at work.
I've flushed 15 gallons of water thru the potter since the incident, and we've had several days of heavy rain,... but it wasn't enough to cleanse the damage. Not sure if the nutes might have kicked up the damage or not, but here's a few pics......
Pic 1: Close up of damaged fan leaf
Pic 2: Pulled back shot showing the extent of the damage.
Pics 3-4: The other side of the plant, there seems to be no damage on this side.
As for the Indoor plant things seem to be going well, I've been scouring for more sacks and have not been finding many. I think I may have got them all,... but I'm gonna keep looking just to be sure.
Pic 1: Purple's canopy
Pic 2: The lack of undergrowth
:cursing::beatdeadhorse::cursing:
Missed 2 F'n sacks and my room got a HEAVY dose of pollen, purple is almost 100% and the other plant that was in there got about 30%
So I've decided to cut my losses on Purple and excised her from the flowering room and put her out side to finish off. I'll harvest her for seeds and hash, there will be no bud :(
On the plus side, the outdoor plant is starting to bud, so hopefully mom won't pop more sacks, and the other indoor plant hasn't produced any sacks or hermi flowers and looks like it'll actually be a decent yield aside from the seeds or "Rat treats" as my wife calls them.
I'm going to give a clone off of my new mother plant one last shot in a few months, if it herms the strain dies. :chainsaw:
Pic 1: Purple outside next to Persiphone
Pic 2: Close up of one of the buds showing all the dead pistles and split flowers.
Pic 3: Persiphone's top.
Sorry to hear about your purple. :(
She looked like it was going to be a nice yield too.
yea man im pissed. That thing was going to have be a nice yielder.Quote:

It's already too dark to take any good pics tonight, so maybe in the morning I'll get some new pics of the last of my first run. ;)
It was bad enough she grew a pair of balls, but to blow a wad in your
bloom room
I bought a couple of clones, they were hard to find, most stores are still wait
an see yet on the new law.
sent away for some seed:D
that way you know what you got.......kind of know.....:wtf:
if I get the first (KUSH) I'll try some other flavors....hell I got the rest
of my life:stoned:
Thread etiquette on this site is a bit different than the Bro site ;) ,.... but I've got no problems with you posting up here on your grow too! :D
You gonna make it to the throwdown on the 28th?
Anyway,... As promised, I've got some updated pics of the last plant in this log, Persephone! She's slightly above the fence line, (pushing 6.5' tall now) tho the angle of the pics doesn't show it.
The Outdoor light cycle is still quite a bit longer than 12/12, but the plant doesn't get direct light all day, so I think it's kicking off slightly early, which given the climate is a good thing! ;) I might actually get to harvest before the first freeze sets in! :D
She was looking really pale, so I dusted some N rich fertilizer on the soil and watered with Ph'd water to soak it in, I'll continue feeding on schedule, but I felt that the low N needed to be addressed since it's still in the first week or two of flowering.
P.S. That is Purple, the mother plant/ SCROG attempt in the background. I've moved her outside to make sure she doesn't pop more sacks and pollenate my bloom room again! I still plan on harvesting that plant for seed,.... how do I tell when the seeds are ready? :wtf:
If you would take a string and tie it up close to the top of Persephone, and then bend her over just a bit ... like the top of a candy cane, you would be so amazed at what she will do! AND it would get her safely tucked back under the top of the fence...
lookin' good, btw
and you know when your seeds are ready when they change color from white to brown or black or speckled, depending on variety. you'll have to check inside the seed pod every now and then.

Thanks for the input on seeding,... I just dont want them to drop over the soil where they are,... I don't want seedlings that I didn't plant!
There's no need to tie her,.... I have the blessing of the goddess!:D
Couple pushed in shots of the buds.
A week later, and we've added a bunch of weight! :hippy:
Getting a bunch of yellow fans, and purple calyx's  Inspection of the Trichomes reveals about 70% cloudy no amber yet. I figure it's got another 2-2.5 weeks left.

Just read thru your grow log  i hope that strain wasn't the problem and that it was just from stress, and it looks like you'll get more from that outside plant than from about three or four of your inside ones :D nice job
Thanks! :rastasmoke:Quote:

Why? Got me! :wtf: EVERY plant I've grown under my lights has hermed, either early with fully developed pollen sacks or in the last week by popping nanners.
On the outdoor plant tho, it's been completely Hermi free thus far! :wtf:
I'd estimate it's in week 6, so by what I've seen indoors, IF it's gonna herm, it'll happen late next week or during the week after. :detective1:
None the less, it's "So far, So good" on this last one in my first grow experiment.
I"ll try and stay on top of this thread,... harvest is near, I can smell it in the air! ;)
That Big Purple Momma Monstah looks super Gnar
Just apply what ya learned from those wispy/lanky ladies and you know your next indoor grow will be EIPC:rastasmoke:
great job for a first time grow!
Thanks and DONE! :thumbsup:Quote:

Thanks! :D The smell is amazing too. I can't wait to get it hanging up in the new drying area:jointsmile:Quote:

I've pulled lower branches good for about 1/2 oz off of it already for one of my patients that is dealing with sever nausea. Trying to let the top's run for another patient's back pain (She's got about 2/3 of her spine fused) The wife has become my QC team! :D
Kinda cool, during the course of this log I've gone from a complete newb, to a CareGiver now having 3 patients! :hippy:
All and all I had a ruff go at GDP, and as a grower the clone I bought gave me fits! The original mom was Hermi, so all the babies were hermies, and none of my last 3 grows of GDP (Started with this log, and finishing with the outdoor girl) have yielded well if at all (not counting the outdoor girl, since she's not down yet!).
But the effect of the meds :stoned: have gotten me 3 patients. So, just cause I have them,...... (about 200 seeds :o )

Still stacking weight on. I want to chop it soo bad I can taste it,.... but I'm gonna see if it will run to the first freeze,... almost all cloudy trichs, should be ready soon.;):hippy:

Top.
http://boards.cannabis.com/members/c...7-just-top.jpg
She's looking more beautiful every post
Just scrolled back,... from the first mention of pistils,... tomorrow is day 60. So we double checked the trich's,... all cloudy as of today. so the bottom branches will be hanging in the new cabinet tonight. Going to let the top of the plant go, to see how much more weight it might put on.
Pics later ;)
Well,.... It's later :D
After the chop,... this is what she still looks like.
http://boards.cannabis.com/members/c...9-img-1352.jpg
Trimmed up and hanging to dry,.... the largest cola as 1.5" in diameter and over 6" long! :D Just that one branch is over 2x what any of my indoor girls have ever yielded! :hippy:
http://boards.cannabis.com/members/c...0-img-1349.jpg
And the rest of her came down tonight,.... No yield tally's as trimming is going to take a couple day's,... and then there is the whole drying/curing thing to do,...
I got about 1/2 way thru trimming tonight,... and put the rest of it in a bag that went in the fridge in the garage overnight, Anyone know if that was a good/bad idea? There's just no way I'm gonna get it done tonight.
Pics were taken with my cellphone,... I'll try and get some macro shots with my actual camera once it's all hanging up to show trich's and color.
Looks mighty good
That blueberry is going to keep they ol lady really stony :hippy:
you should be giving her something more uppee :stoned:
Sorry man, after re-reading it........sounds like I'm telling the DocQuote:

I'll try and get all this GDP in a single tray once it's cured and see what it yielded, if I can keep the wife from smoking it that is!
