This plant is produced the best buds I have ever seen. They are very heavy as demonstrated in the last pics, she can't even hold up the weight, they are still this deep purple color,
Well that concludes today's harvest:) and I am just over the halfway point!
I still have four more to go, 3 THC Bomb and WW#9
Diahashi, Thanks for stopping by, Gl with your grow, just be patiant they will tell you when they are ready
Butchie, Nice grow but yes the daily attention is mostly just checking on them, it is watering days that were the chore.
To answer your questions,Yes in week 4 of flower or when the buds are producing enough leaves to support photosynthisis I remove all the lower fan leaves to expose all the lower buds to direct light then any growth from 6'' up from the soil, I also leave the top 4 sets of cola leaves as long as it is not directly over a lower cola. There has been a lot of debate on this as being benificial so you be the judge.
Hydro, Thanks for checking in my guesstimate on total weight this grow is 1.5 to over 2 Lbs. out of 9 plants, a 4'x4'x7' box, and a 600 watt HPS. I remember a ways back in basic growing forum someone asked is it possiable to get 2 Lbs. from 1-600 watt HPS. Well I think I have answered that question:)
Smok3y, thanks for the compliment.
" That's a beautiful harvest " Stinkyattic.
Wow I am going to print that and hang it on my growbox. Thank you Stinky coming from you that makes this grow even more special.
And finally Irie, thanks for the compliment and yes I hope those clubs do knock me out when smoked.
Again thanks everyone for all the kind words it just makes it even more fun to do this.
Well here are bunch of pics of Mystery#3. She is drying a lot faster than I expected. She will be ready by the weekend for curing. She has lost a lot of weight as expected but will still produce a lot of weighty buds.
First pic: is of the harvested plants hanging around in the closet.
2nd pic: is cola of mystery using the flash. The colors are off but shows the reflection from the trics nicely.
3rd pic is a close up of the plant in natural dim light.
4th & 5th pics are bud close up's in natural light.
That is a lot of bud...and it looks very dank...nice work Jerry, beautiful harvest....
Here are some more pics:)
Yes I do have an early smoke report:):)
She still has a leafy taste at first but in a good sincimila way, and get this Irie the rush hits you like a club, then settles into a good energetic body high. It is still a little early to give a true taste report but she is going to be some excellent smoke.
1st pic again natural light.
2nd artificial cfl lighting shows some trics.
3rd with cfl again and flash colors way off it is not blue but reflection from the trics, I thought it was pretty cool.
4th is natral light again
5th I figured everyone was wondering about is PP8 in natural light so far she is retaining the color.
wow big buds all the way. my fav is the last pic, now thats a dank nug. Im glad you got a PHAT hit with that club but didnt get knocked out just yet, wait til the curing is done and see if it knocks you out then.
My god, you have me all antsy for my harvest date to come up. Although my buds won't look nearly as good you still got me excited.
I can't wait till we hear the smoke/taste reports on all of these.
So Jerry, I took your advice and gave most of the older girls a hair cut/trim. Took off a good percentage of fan leaves and under-growth, It has been 3-4 days since I did it and they arent showing any signs of torture. Approximately how long did it take for them to recover? Did you keep them on the same feeding schedule pre/post haircut?
Pics 1-2: pre cut (lights on)
Pics 3-5 post cut 3-4 days later (lights off)
Butchie,
You are past the streach phase so you will notice the buds start to swell and just keep getting bigger and bigger over time this is a slow process and best observerd over a week period.
You are in the easiest phase for the grower but one of the most common times the grower over loves the plant and over nutes. Give the plants a good thurough watering when the bucket gets lite approximately 4 days between judging by your plants size. Alternate between nute formulated water and plane water. And just sit back and let them do there thing. Just check on them to make sure everything is ok. And you should be good to go.
JG.
Today Mystery 3 snaped when bent so she is ready for curing.
She dried to a very sticky fluffy kind of bud the tops dried to a large 1.75'' dia.
Now what just blew me away was the weight. She came in at 97g or 3.5 oz.:) :) :)
This is just a light fluffy plant!! WW #9 and 4 are going to be unbelievable yeilders. By the way #9 is still going strong, starting to yellow but trics are still mostly clear.
Even though it might be lite it looks like amazing smoke man....really ,really well done on this :)
eh....i wouldn't call 3.5 off one girl low.....imo
:smokebong:
whiskeytango
I think I am being misunderstood. I don't think 3.5 oz is low for one plant, I am just trying to point out that some of my plants may break a 5 oz. yeild. considering my biggest yeilder last grow was 2.5 oz.
Thanks for stopping by everyone.
I decided to go back to my first grow log and got the states and a pic.
1st pic is at harvest 2nd grow. yeild 3.5 oz. 73 day flowering period 7 week veg.
2nd pic. is at harvest 1st grow. yeild 2 oz. 56 day flower cycle, 5 week veg.
I've yet to get 2.5 oz from a single plant. I'm hoping to top that this time with better (more) lighting.
Good job, buds look wonderful.
Shov
i hear ya shovel....lol...i WISH i "ONLY" got 2.5 off of one plant....nice problem to have JG...lol

Here she is 89 days into flower and has been on plane water for 3 waterings now. She has turned a nice yellow color on the fan leaves. She also just finished another flower burst , but has mostly cloudy trics no amber. I'm giving up waiting:)
The buds and cola's on her are huge and very resin coated, tight, and heavy. I will get between 4 to 5 oz from her, the main cola's alone must be an oz. each when dry.
Here are her stats:
Hight: 33''
Width: 20''
Largest Cola Dia: 3''
Longest Cola Length: 12''
Bud Description: HUGE!!!! HEAVY!!!! CRYSTAL LIKE RESIN COVERED!!!!
BEJEZZUS MAN . thats the most insane plant I think Ive ever seen :rastasmoke:
holy big buds batman!!!! that is a hefty lady you got there:thumbsup: I would be proud...good job JG!!!
:smokebong:
whiskeytango
Thanks guys,
She is also some great smoke judging from my last grow.
Right on, GREAT GROW.
In one of your earlier pix I think I saw some lights on the floor.
I think I will add some to mine. :D
Actually they are 4' shop lights mounted to the walls 2' up for side lighting, with 2700k T-12 bulbs.
Now this plant is a Frog untill you kiss a joint Then she is a Prince or should I say Princess:)
This is the plant that produced heavy amount of resin but tiny buds, hence very leafy making the buds look like some home grown crap ( that you grew when you were a teenager in the 70s ) from a distance. Then when you touch it you notice it wants to stick to your fingers, then you sniff your fingers and you say "Hmmm", then you break it up and notice your fingers get coated in resin, now you roll a joint of it and it is like using a rolling machine because the paper sticks to the MJ and tucks nicely under the overwrap. Now your thinking this may be some decent smoke, so you light it up and take a hit. Nice and smooth good taste, not the cloriphilic leafy taste you expected, then a nice hashy aftertaste. Then you start to get a rush that is so strong you have to lean on something or you will fall over!! Then when you come to your senses you exclame "HOLY SHIT THAT'S SOME GOOOOOOD SMOKE" by now you are on the couch and about half way thru the joint you forget your smoking a joint and it goes out, and you say that's enough.
Sorry but can't attach pics will be in next post.:(
dude, u need a roomate? im neat, non-smoker:jointsmile:, and could even help out around the growroom!! seriously amazing what you are doing man. dang. like, yer third grow? you are an inspiration to growers everywhere. you writing a book i hope.. how much weed does a guy who has such an unholy amount of ganji around smoke a day i gotta wonder, and if so you sure show how well we stoners perform difficult tasks and shit while "iu". nice. i bow to you. EVERYBODY BOW TO JERRY!
For being leafy she came out at 99 grams or right at 3.5 oz. dry:) :) :) :)
So 2 plants 7 oz. so far, 7 more to go.
lol...good shit jerry, lookin forward to the pics:D...we got one of those plants too...got real depressed about the stretching and bud size...but the resin...mmm...thats gonna be a nice headie plant:thumbsup:
:smokebong:

its a bird................... its a plane........................ nope its just JG high off his harvest. dude your gonna be flying after you finally harvest all that herb. cant wait for the final weight of them all hoping for 2lbs!!
stay irie
I have a lot to do tonight so these are going to be short. I will do bud pics and smoke reports later.
She came in at 105 grams. Is very similar looking to #6 growth and bud wise haven't smoked her yet.
She's a biggin:) beautiful buds all around perfect:)
She came in at 126 grams or exactly 4.5 oz dry. 1 month ago, Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would break a Quarter Pound from 1 indoor plant.
This is the 3rd try with pics. Droped them somehow in the 1st post.
again i will say...i am very impressed with your yields JG...we use all FF too...did you follow the chart? feed every watering? or every other....thats insane for one plant man...good job
:smokebong:
whiskeytango
I use the FF chart and use the low measurements where a varied amount is given, and yes every other watering. Just plane water between feedings.

im sorry, but your not the only one on these boards who had trouble with simple english and it kind of bothers me.
your horticulture skills are unparalleled though.
good job hommie.
Is it really so important to correct people? I'm big on grammar also but as long as I understand them I try to refrain from arrogance. Just incase you try to argue that you weren't being arrogant here is the definition from dictionary.comQuote:

The entire point of your post was to slap a man in the face and then at the very end throw in a "btw gj".
These kinds of posts are not needed in other people's grow logs.
Btw, here are a few corrections to that sentence above since you're such a grammar Nazi. For future reference if you're going to do something like this then be sure to use proper grammar yourself or else you just look like an idiot.Quote:

Your horticulture skills are unparalleled. Good job Sir.
The corrections should be obvious and I'm not going to point them out. JG I'm sorry about this being in your log. I just don't like when people are arrogant/condescending without having any reason, talent or intellect to justify it.
:wtf: is this guy serious?! stop flaming dude, this isn't a grammatically correct site....not sure if you had notised! pleeze fel freee to corekt my whyte as and go bother some other forums!
