depends on how far into flower you are and whether you get this temp issue under control. Plants like stable exactly the same as the last day for their whole life, with this unpredictable drastic fluctuaions your plants are putting way more energy into stress and recuperation that they could be putting into bud. Every stress you cause cuts back your yeild. Remind me again why you still can't regulate your temp, I know you have a heated why not set it up on a timer to pick up where the heat from the light left off?

i noticed clear tubs do you guys or gals think that is ok?
Growing for my future. (My first sucessful grow) (i hope).
week 5 begins now, 5 out of 10-12 i believe, its super silver haze. i am assuming.
anyhow the problem is that they are in an uninsulated attic. it has been better, maintaining 90 tops in the light period 80 tops at night. its farther on io am worried about. it never exceeds 80 degrees OUTSIDE here, but it got ot like 90 with lights out when it was like 65 outside, so i am looking for some real trouble. later on. but i am also basically in a rainforest, (high in the appalachians) so it will rain everyday at 4:30 to cool things down.. i understand that stress will lower yeild, but what about potency and or resin production would it affect that (maybe even positively)?
oh btw CC do you still think that CO2 is still a waste? i think with my higher temps it might be useful.
Growing for my future. (My first sucessful grow) (i hope).
You can play with some CO2 I guess, use a few simple cheap methods though that way you can work out kinks before you actually need it. You gotta find ways to stabilize your temp so it is consistent everyday, I let mine go up tolow 90's during the day, and drop to low 70's at night, but it is the same every day, I take my temp from the very top of the canopy right under the light cause it's the hottest place. Insulation is cheap and so is the plastic, you could do it in a day, even the plastic stretched across the rafters woul be better. Oh and I hope you aren't using clear containers as pots, not good for the roots.

(sheepishly applies duct tape to the exterior of translucent tubs) funnny you mentioned that med-users, as i had just that day noticed a tiny bit of algae growing on the side.

Well we have come a long way. there are now 10 budding females. i have begun to introduce plants at 4 or more nodes (as long as they are healthy) to the budding chamber. since i worry about theives, i am here almost 100%^ of the time and go up into the dark with a cell phone screen as my only light source, and gather the veggers/clones and seedlings (which are kept in a tray) and take them to either the sun, or if its cloudy under 2 40 watt grow tubes, and one 60 watt? cfl. anyhow towards one end there are more sativas, and the bigger buds the other end are on the suppoed super silver haze. do they look like super silver haze?? anyhow some photos are color enhanced, sharpened etc. with a photo tweaking program. not as intense as photoshop, so its not like i am exxagerating anything other than maybe graniness... i dunno. more to come. temps have been running high, like 90 all the freaking time except toiday, when is like 45-50 i hope... looks like we are in for a case of temp shock geez. damn crazy april weather.

actually it is running 74 here at "night" so thats ideal really. anyways i have noticed what i am assuming are (stress leaves) little 3 bladed leaves coming off the very top, and also some very fast, lank growth by my sativas. i had temp issues, with inadeguate cooling. i grow in a small loose enclosure of hanging space blankets withing a much larger area. a whole bunch of clones, and some repotting of the current plants is coming up this week... so i'll be doubling my floor space, by just buying 2 more space blankets! cheap as hell. i will be halving my light intensity, however, but plan to install a light mover and semi-professional-grade ventilation next week, so the lights can be closer...

i went out of town for a few days, and while i did several things happened. it got down to 7 degrees (F) and my heater broke. it got down to 28 in the grow room (in an attic), according to the record low, (although several feet away it remained above 35...). i think it would have been worse if there hadn't been a heavy layer of snow to provide insulation. well the plants did surprisingly good. the sativas are looking pretty sad, but things seem to be bouncing back for at least 1 of the three hardest hit, everything else looks A OK. we'll see. i didn't particularly want to post pics specifically of the carnage, but evidence of it is here. nothing to do but home for the best. they don't really look THAT bad, just extremely droopy, but not at all dried out.
