Birdie sends her love to you all. She's been moved up to a regular room now, which is good news, and is breathing better and has better color and cardiac output. Her mom made her her favorite meal, which we took to her tonight in hopes that she'll eat better and gain some weight. She'll probably be dismissed on Monday afternoon or evening if all continues to go well. We can't manage to get her connected from the hospital using her school laptop or I swear she'd be online here this very minute. Trying to get her to rest and take it easy is not an easy thing to do. I tried to give her a re-cap of the goings-on here but probably didn't do a very good job. Thanks for all the good wishes, guys. Goodnight for now.
Phew, good to hear shes doing better. I've been worrying all yesterday!
But the most important thing is she works on getting better!
We're all thinking of her and cant wait untill shes fighting fit!
Thankyou VERY much for the updates Dave.
Let birdgirl know we all send our love and wish her the best of health.
All my love, LIP [Alex.]

The hospital food is not very good.
Bird's been up and walking a good bit today and working hard at talking her doctor into releasing her to go home, but he wasn't buying that. No earlier than Monday afternoon, he said. She says hello to everyone here.
well I hope you take the time to help yourself recover birdgirl. If you spend even half the time on yourself that you do for others you willl be fine. Not trying to sound negative, but damn watch the fatty foods...meatloaf gravy fried chicken... take it easy girl.
We're working hard at intentionally fattening her up with those foods. Bird's far too thin right now and has naturally very low, safe cholesterol levels. In her case, her heart function's at far more risk from her being too thin than it is from eating those foods. They're a key part of the plan to get some more meat on those bones of hers.Quote:

Your hunch was excellent. I tell 99% of heart patients to stay away from stuff like that. The ones with coronary artery disease, that is. In Bird's case, she has the clearest coronary arteries in the country but has electrical/rhythm-related problems that are aggravated by the fact that her weight's too low.
