White kids on a more and more consistent basis try to identify with other races and imitate the way they think they should act.
This is where our culture is all fucked up, people seem to think entertainers are some sort of superhuman role model. They end up assimilating some very poor qualities so they can "fit it"....if your poor it isn't your fault its the man keeping you down, crime is "cool"...there are a ton others. If you set your mind to something in time you will achieve, be your own person. Don't conform to what society says you should be.
i like being a cracker.
you can savour me with some gruyere cheese or some shrimp dip.
Race does not separate people so much as culture and religion which are basically loyalties to old ideas. It is human nature to seek an identity and to make generalizations like stereotyping and it takes a lot of education in an enviroment that encourages free thinking to overcome natural and ritual predispositions and then greed and politics as well.
The road to understanding and tolerance is long and trecherous one for humanity. It has only taken but a few steps in its journey to enlightenment. We can only hope that we don't engineer our own demise before we can see our way to world peace.
I disagree. I come from a white upper-middle/lower-upper class background. My wife was born and raised in a poor village in China. Our "cultures" couldn't be more different. Yet we have a wonderful marriage that's going on 10 years. Why? Because we've had the intelligence to prevent our cultures from "colliding". Instead we've allowed the two to mesh together to form our own little culture. We may be having spaghetti and meatballs for dinner, but chances are we'll be eating them with chopsticks.:DQuote:

I have problems with people from other backgrounds and cultures. It just so happens they are usually from a different race (yes I'm white). I don't like the way they act, dress, talk, walk and the list goes on. It doesn't apply to all of them but a great number of them I don't like for these various reasons. Not because they are a different color but because they are so different than me in all aspects of life. I cannot and do not want to except them as friends or have anything to do with them for I feel they are and would be a threat to my family and my values.
^^^^ funny stuff...sounds straight out a KKK handbook. Better go hop in bed with your sis...she won't threaten you.Quote:
