Sorry to hijack the party, but surely there are proven facts and evidence from millions of years ago, that we EVOLVED, yet peple still believe a book that has NO foundation or standing which claims that we are all the creation of God. This is just my opinion, it makes more sense than what you lot are saying!

doesn't matter what you say... -.- they always just have some bs excuse or reason for anything you point out... yeah their god is inifite in wisdom... yet he set up a chain for beings to evolve over time... why didn't he just save time and clap his hands and make the world in a flash as it is now...

If I may make a rebuttal.......
God and religion in general were concoctions of society to explain the unexplained. When people didn't know why the sun rose, they worshipped it. there seems to be an innate yearning amongst mankind to discover a greater being, an all powerful consciousness that controls us all. Despite any real evidence to prove the existence of good, and the continuing advancement of science that fills in the gap previously occupied by God, people still feel in their heart the presence of the almighty.
I consider myself an open-minded person, and I'm not going to completely write of the possibility of a higher consciousness. However I will say that if there is an omnipresent deity out there, I very much doubt he would be particularly interested in what we do, much less ready to judge our relative merits or sins. Religion and God is too often used as a crutch, to pass responsibility onwards so that we can sit back and say that we did right, cos God said so.
Darkfirer, I hate to sound cynical, but your young, and I have had many realisations in my days based on a somewhat altered view of the world and reality. What your saying isn't some huge insight into the interpersonal relationship between man and God. One day you'll probably have another realisation. Post it when you do

hey man, i guess we are. i myself do not see a human when i look into the mirror.
im a little jelous. you see, god created man as the ultimate end product of evolution, his ultimate creation.
his whole purpose is evident i this thread. nobody in this thread is able to perceive what im saying of god, and thats the perfect balance he created. they arent ready.
who i am didnt come from spiritual thinking, i was born spiritual. i have awareness of things people dont.

oh i didnt read all ur post, thats gay u didnt create god ur a weirdo! god is the root to all things that you perceive.
some people i try to enlighten become enlightened right away, this has happened only once. most people arent ready, and their higher self/soul doesnt want their material self to realize it yet.
