Why do people call Marijuana "weed"?

my dad calls it grass. i like it much better because grass is peaceful and flows with the wind. it also makes everything a lot more pretty

I call it all of these - weed, grass, pot, ganj, Jay, MJ.

Something as great as it is deserves many different names;)

yeah but "pot" is just an annoying name. I can understand it being called "bud", "dope", "grass", "ganj" and best yet "weed". But "pot"?!!!! Hell no....that sounds about as stupid a s calling soda "pop".

Hah I use "Pot" most of all. That is what it always was when I was in HS a college in the 80s and 90s. "potheads", "smoking pot"... I dont know I like calling it pot and do :thumbsup:

alright it's ok to call it whatever you want I was just sayin that the word "pot" isn't used by young people in HS these days and if they do call it "pot" they're losers or long haired hippys like i said :P

Why does everyone call marijuana an intoxicant?

It's effects are non-toxic.

in-'-ant is the difference.

Psychoactivity doesn't require intoxicants. Cannabis is a Cannabinoid-receptoricant.
