For sure. The breeder I got the clone from was only interested in the purple flavor. Unless it turns color in a week or so. I do like eye candy.Quote:

I also /very/ much appreciate that you're doing the nute supplement experiment there, as I have been thinking about what to augment my own nutes with. PurpleMaxx and Gravity have been on my maybe list for a while, and if you can sort of 'prove out' that they /do/ work, I'll be down buying 'em tomorry...
[shameless plug: for those in TO, or the GTA, go see Jeremy at Grown Hydro, new store at 634 Yonge--he'll treat ya right!]
Am currently using Dutch Nutrient Formula, just about to switch to the flowering set, with a teensy bit of molasses and some of DNF's SuperThrive knockoff, "HydroThrive", with pretty good results so far. I love the Co2 enrichment you're doing, and am about to start doing something similar!
Keep up the mega-good work, mon!

pics look great....i really like the last one, the white pots go well with everything!
I was super ripped the last time I was looking at that last picture. I didn't realize you had your girls next to the fireplace...I thought it was just a random shot that made it in....And, people don't think the flowers of cannabis look wonderful? Everyone should decorate like this!:jointsmile::jointsmile:
Thanks for the comments! I will post more pictures soon. This grow is nearing its end.
hey them girls are lookin good how much do you think your harvest will be? great job again
I am not sure. I should have grown one more plant in the middle. I also could have vegged them a little bit longer. I thought they would grow into the light but they stayed a nice size. I am growing at 100 watts of HPS per square foot.Quote:

It is a crazy grow. One big bud each plant. No popcorn buds, no lower loose buds. So whatever I yield will be good bud.
Thanks for the comment! Come back soon. :)
Hello Demoreal,
Decided to take a look at what you are doing and I must say it looks very nice. Neat, clean setup and I compliment you on some great lollipoping. The pics by the fireplace are really very pretty!
To answer your question from the other thread, no this ain't SOG. If you at least doubled (or even quadrupled) the plant count and gave up some veg time you'd be closer to it. BTW the 400w for a 2x2 area is great, too many hobby growers go too little wattage. That old saw of 50w/sqft is really just a minimum, for vegging, at 100w/sqft you are in great flowering shape.
Also, good use of very old technology....yeast, sugar and water to produce CO2. I still use that sometimes, with good results.
Good growing and good luck to ya.
BTW just noticed it's your 1 year anniversery at cancom, congratulations!:D
I was thinking about doing a grow with 4 inch cubes all right next to each other. It would also be nice to compare to this grow. These plants vegged about a week or two. If I did 4 inch cubes I would not veg at all.
Do you think I should do that with a sativa grow? Or do most people prefer Indicas for a SOG.
If the plants I have now were any closer the fan leaves would cover the buds, but I guess if I did not veg the fan leaves and colas would be much smaller. I could fit 36 plants instead of the 8 I grew. (i should have done 9) I really want to try.
Old mac do you have any pictures of someone growing 9 plants per square foot? I have been wanting to try but I am scared it will just be too many. The most I have done is 4 plants per square foot. It would be a nice experiment too. The reason I want to use a sativa is because they tend to be more skinny without those huge fan leaves. The way I did this grow was good for this strain but would not work for a sativa very well. (lollipop style) So for this trainwreck clone I have I was thinking either a SCROG or the 4 inch rockwool SOG. What do think? This clone stretches crazy and is really skinny.
I've done maximum 5 plants per square foot in a hydro bucket, flat-out 12/12 all the way from the clone having rooted.
I would recommend indicas for 12/12, though if you did a longer extended staggering rotation (say every 4 weeks instead of every 2 due to the longer flowering time of sativas) then you could probably do it.
I'd really be scared to try 9 plants per square foot, even with indicas and the best hydroponics system possible. I think it would just crowd too much and be a large risk of bud mold and rot.
