I have seen other people in here carefully use tweezers to pick the shell of if it is stuck on, it may break of though?Quote:

So I checked the plant today, And I noticed where the fourth node up, There is a couple what look like little white hairs, Could this possible be showing the sex of the plant, If I switch it to 12/12 and its female, I would probly only get like a bowls worth lol.
I'll get a pic tonight If I can.
Quick question, Does any one know the kelvin rating on this bulb.
Its a 42 watt General Purpose bulb. I just picked up at walmart for like 12 dollares.
Heres a pic.
I guess its 2700k as it's a general purpose household bulb (90% certain), if you send a picture of it on then can guess a bit better. Look around the plastic base of the bulb it may say on that?
look at the picture attatched: you can work it out roughly yourself.
I have noticed The US and the UK CFL's vary in wattage usage and equivilence, eg. in the UK a 20watt (even an 18watt phillips brand) = 100watt output, for 150watt output, the bulbs are only 30watts.... strange???
Okay they seam to be a 2700k.
But Ill just save it for flowering.
I guess it will come in use one day.
So I noticed my plant has like white hairs at the nodes, Does that mean its showing its sex.
Another question do you have Aol Instant messanger Evil trees?
Because it seams like your the only one really helping me out.
Idk, Itd just seam alott faster then posting on here.
:rastasmoke:
Hey again, Sorry I dont use messenger programmes. Glad to help out on here though. I'm on the net as good as every night and most lunch times too (well UK time)
Your Plant may be showing its sex but it may be something else (well I forgot the name of them but they happen at every node) is there 4 in total all around the node (2 on one side, 2 the other?) But it could be pre flowers! - I would concentrate on your new seedlings though and stick to the veg light cycle even if they were pre flowers. Have you got them underneath the lights yet? on a 18/6 or 17/7 cycle?
Shame bout the bulb, at least it won't go out of date or anything!
Okay, Well atleaste you will be stoping by from time to time to help.
 .
I'm going to take some close up picks here in a little bit and post them.
I just started the seedlings under the lights for 18/6.
But one plants looking a beauty, Even though it most likely will never make it to harvest.
