I never seen anything like this! I took a few pics when I headed downtown because everyone was taking to the streets to celebrate. It was incredible, cars honking their horns, people cheering for Obama, there were a ton of people in front of the white house. I also took the liberty to partake and make a silent statement!

Well congratulations to the winner, I am glad it's all over and TV here in the Scotland can get back to normal, the amount of coverage given to the US election over here has been staggering perhaps now we can get coverage of an extremely important by election that is happening in Scotland this week.
I don't suppose anyone over on your side has heard of Glenrothes or its election but hopefully the result will be another step towards Scottish independence.
Good luck to your new president although I have a feeling that buying him a Christmas present might be a waste of money.

Unfortunately the first thing Obama will do is send all the US troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan and replace them with British and European troops.
I don't know if this is true or not, maybe some of you can shed some light on this subject.
I am not really politically minded and dont tend to follow politics.:)
