Very true. Now... the problem I have with Biden is that he talks *over* the people, as if he was a professer giving a lecture. She stomped on bidens throat at the start, and Biden backed off real quick. Biden tried to patronize her and got his throat stomped on again.

I don't put much stock in polls or such.... they are biased unintentionally or otherwise by the creator of the poll. I won't pretend to try to sway anybodys vote, but I will suggest that kids(especially college kids) are easy to mold in their political leanings...then when they have lived life some and have familys, etc....their priorities change and so do thier political leanings.

Did I mention that all of the left wing radicals from the Peoples Republic of Berkeley, that were in college in the 60s and 70s are the professors that are teaching our children now??

Saying media in general is liberal is an oxymoron. Media wants to create sensationalism. That's how the business is. If there's dirt, they report it. Doesn't matter who's dirt it is. I could be wrong, you could have proof that the media is in together in a big conspiracy against McCain. See how crazy that sounds?

With regards to Biden style, he was clearly more rehearsed with the issues than Palin. However, Palin used the strategy by speaking to the people to deflect some of the arguments Biden was making. She would've been roast duck if she allowed Biden to trap her by directly arguing the issues. She would've lost. Instead she held her own quite well. She passionately made her points and felt she was a more effective communicator than Biden.

Whoever won depends on what you look at. I thought it was a good debate, but I don't think it really changed anyones mind in who they were originally voting for.

I doubt that...political parties always sling dirt at each other...and most medias report on both sides...still man there's bias everywhere...the point I was making is you don't think that bias runs from people of both parties...the left disagree with the right...the right disagree with the left...it doesn't run one side.

I guess you and I have have different views of what characterizes a leader...:wtf: Talking TO the people doesn't suddenly always make you a great leader...if you don't know much of what you're talking about...I'd disagree though, that Biden did more throat stomping...difference of opinion I guess

I do agree that all kids can be molded easily..and you're right that does definitly happen...probably to a lot of kids...but not to others.

Palin did a fantastic job. I def think she won this one.

She is a great speaker and she really showed how edited the Katie Couric interview was. The way they showed it you would have thought she would have come out like, "Yeah that there economy is mighty diffimacult".

I realized something while watching the debate, that I'm not surprised about at all in retrospect. Biden almost never looked at the camera, usually looking at the moderator, while maintaining a professional, serious tone. Palin, however, never took her eyes of the camera. I couldn't focus on a single word she said because her gaze was so hypnotizing. It was literally terrifying. This woman knows how to speak for days on end without saying a single thing of value, and gets everyone to literally hunger for her next word. We are more fucked than even I originally thought.

There was not one point during the debate where I thought Palin had ANYTHING on Biden. I'm surprised to see as many people supporting her as there are. Although, that must make me left wing or whatever that bullshit lable is.

The only thing she had going for her was that she could ramble on about things to make it APPEAR that she was answering questions. She is easy on the eyes and has charisma (even though she avoids the topics) and that is about all.

People may claim "sexist" when someone suggests that she is just a barbie doll figure, but it's the damn truth. She doesn't have the brains behind all that beuty, or at least not the knowledge that should be needed to be VP. Maybe you're a "reverse sexist" for defending them just because they are pretty and know how to BS their way through a debate?

Why is everyone so focuse on Obama raising taxes? Is it really going to affect you? No, not directly. Not unless you make over 250,000 dollars. Anyone making that much money should be fine with spending a little extra on taxes to the country that allowed them to become that wealthy in the first place. That way the lower income people like me and most all of you can have a better chance at being as successful. With McCains plan, it doesn't help us little guys out at all. Just give the rich lesser taxes and let the poor work their asses of while paying the same taxes and overwhelming prices on necessities that continue to rise and will continue especially if McCain is elected.

-edit- I forgot to mention some of the good points about McCain that Palin mentioned.... Maverick, maverick, maverick, maverick, and ummm... oh yeah, he is a maverick.

Biden won, no question in my mind. You could say that im bais towards Biden because I'm a Delawarean, but my high school U.S. History teacher is a friend of Biden and had him come to meet our class one day years ago. He is a much more professional politician than Palin, and as America is already the laughing stock of the world, do you think anyone would take this woman seriously? Palin scares the living shit out of me and as someone else said she can talk all day without saying a damn thing. Im sick and tired of an administration that has perfected it's skills in deception, and I feel like I can trust Biden, making me feel like I can trust Obama. I dont think Palin knows what she's doing anymore than we do, and McCain is just a wacko. So thats enough to make me vote Obama/Biden.

McKiernan, I think that's his name, said he wouldn't recommend an "Iraq-style" surge in Afghanistan. He said he'd prefer more counter-insurgency efforts.

Also, the leader of our troops in Iraq is McKiernan.

That's a big "Whoops" for Palin. She didn't nail him on that point.

And yeah, she's intentionally playing idiot on national television when talking with reputable news sources because she wants to appeal to us middle-class average guys.

Cause I know I love it when one of my leaders can't answer any tough questions.

Why are you McCain supporters attacking the media so much? Just because there's only one network, one that gives all its questions in writing days before interviews and gets "talking points" from the White House, that views McCain/Palin favorably doesn't mean there's a conspiracy.

And, honestly, in the battle between McCain and the Media, he was the first to strike. Every time an interview or news story paints him as anything but a maverick, he immediately calls it a "liberal media source".
