I moved the plants into the ground. The swamp has some small clearings where deer bed. I used two of those clearings for my holes to give the plants some room on the sides from other vegetation. I know deer are bad news, but so far using my urine around the plants (in large quantities, I actually save it in 2 liter bottles) has kept the deer far away from them.
The two plants I have are each about 32" tall. I'd say the holes I dug are at least 5 gallons each. I spread the dirt (actually clay in this area) that I dug out all over the place to make it harder to spot from the air. That was hard freaking work, especially after lugging all my soil and equipment out into the woods. This guerilla growing shit is not for the weak of heart.
I saved a little of the natural clay and put it over top of the hole to camouflage the black soil that stands out from the rest of the vegetation. However, I cleared a little bit around the stem to help the soil breath better.
All in all I think the plants will be very difficult to spot from the air... and there are only two of them anyway.
I hit them with some 10-52-10 "bloom boster" also. I flushed them with a couple gallons of water first though, because the plants were a little burnt from when I tried fertilizing them with urine. I had read somewhere to try that, and now I regret it. I watered it down 7 parts to 1 but it still caused yellow spots on the bottom leaves.
Oh well... hopefully the ladies will enjoy their new spot and their new food. They should be getting a full day of sunlight here. Come on big buds!

If you have bear there it possibly could be hound hunters training the dogs, they will go wherever the bear trees, but they probably would not see the plants if they are in there after dark. I have gone along on these trainings and they go anywhere, even thru the thickest swamp.

Good to know. I'm a little worried about hunters near my equipment/supply stash. However the actual grow area is in a "wildlife preserve" that has no trespassing signs posted all over it's perimeter. So I'm worried more about deer then hunters back there. Even though it is posted no trespassing, I highly doubt state forest rangers are back there very often. And if they ever do go back there (to count birds or whatever they do) chances are very slim they'd stumble upon my plants.
I need to get back there and apply some more urine today. I want those deer to smell me from a quarter mile away.

Thanks for the tips. Do you think it would be good to put some worms around my plants at this stage? Do they help aerate the soil? Or would they hurt my plant's roots?

A damn tree fell on my two plants that survived the flood! Unbelievable. How much more can go wrong with this grow? Anyway, the tree hit one on the side. The tree tore one of the branches off and pressed the "trunk" of the plant over at a 40 degree angle or so. In this picture I have already moved the tree off of it as much as I could.
The tree was rotten, and it basically blew up with rotten dust and bark all over both my plants when it hit. So my plants were covered with this shit. They were sticky with resin (Afghans), so all the dust stuck to the plants.
Are my plants ruined? Am I going to be smoking rotten wood now? They started looking bad a few days after it happened. It has rained and hopefully washed most of the dust off I think (see last pic, close up of the top cola), but I just am not sure if the buds are ruined. I don't know if the yellowing is just normal for this stage in flowering, or if there is something I need to try to do.
Any advice?
The plants are about 5 weeks into flowering, and supposedly this strain flowers in 8-9 weeks. The trichomes are already cloudy, I think... it was hard to keep my 60-100x scope perfectly still and tell for sure. Any advice on that issue would be appreciated also.

Tropical Storm Hanna flooded out my plants. Dammit. They were just starting to smell so good to. It was this sweet smell I truly didn't expect from Afghans; it reminded me of the Northern Lights I used to smoke in the 90's when I was a kid. I was so looking forward to harvest.
I've never seen this area flood before, even in heavy rains. But it sure has hell did. It must've been a couple feet high. And it rolled a log over my plants... which came to rest on one. The other one is all withered and with virtually no green left... just brown, withered buds. I guess I'll try to take some pics later just to finalize this log.
I'm so pissed that I have to sneak into swamps and flood plains to grow. I hate this shit.

idk if you want to smoke any of those buds as they've gotten rotten tree shit on em. (they might be fine tho) what you can do is cook with em. or if all else seems waste, grind it up and make some hash. obviosusly its not the best use of nugs, but you can get something outta bad situtation. good luck.
