I know but it does'nt help the situation any, and I'm getting a job this summer and apparently my mom made an agreement with me that I was excluded from that I have to give her half my fuckin' paycheque.

Dude, she can't make you work and force you to give her half the money. Last time I checked, that was called getting robbed.

Stay clean and threaten emancipation, then you would have a job which looks good to the courts, find a friend that might allow you to live with them and if the court wants a drug test you'll come up negative.

Life is so unfair isn't it. Why don't you run away from home? That is a choice you can make, up and leave, pack a suitcase and get the hell out of such an unbearable dwelling. Go and fend for yourself. See how far a minimum wage job will get you, see how expensive it is to live in the real world. Oh wait, this doesn't sound so good? You want your folks to support you fiscally and then let you do whatever you please.

Think about it in reverse. If you had a home and your kid was doing something you didn't approve of (whatever it might be), would you pay for their upbringing and expend all that energy and time and then just let them do whatever they want? Your house, your rules, her house her rules. Simple as that. (and I know some smartass will bring this up, so no this doesn't apply to abusive parents who are physically, sexually and emotionally abusing their kids).

That's a bad attitude to have. A parent does not own their child no matter how much the child owes to them.

I'm very grateful for everything my parents have done for me but if I had to be tracked by my parents and have my dad watch me take a drug test every day I wouldn't stand for it. That's not the way to raise a child; part of being a parent is being reasonable.

No wonder everybody has a therapist.
