Have you tried out the meter yet?
Im about to right now. You say to aim for the 6.5-6.8 range? When not using the meter do I keep it in water to preserve the probe?
Ok so that didnt go so well. I cant seem to get this damn thing to calibrate. The numbers keep bouncing around and theres only a decimal point for a second then it disappears. WTF?
I wanna throw this thing against the wall!!! Im so mad
Im so dumb I didnt take the cover off the probe. It works fine now. I got it calibrated and my tap water measures 7.5, the RO water from walmart I was using measured 8.3! And the water ran through the PUR filter on my faucet is at 7.3
Correction- the RO water from walmart is 7.0 and tap at 7.3. I mixed some Grow Big and CalMag in a gallon of tap water and remeasured it and its at 6.8. I used the RO water to test my runoff and it was at 6.9. So maybe the PH was ok before Im not sure though. I wonder if it is just a calcium def and/or rootbound
Maybe sulfur Grow Big doesnt have sulfur in it neither does Earth Juice I wonder why?
So after feeding them 1 tsp. of Grow Big and 1.5 tsps. of Cal-Mag with tap water PH'd at 6.8 my plants look alot better and starting to smell better too :)
my leaves drooped like that and turned yellow. how i fixed it was flushed and did a final flush with a higher ph because when i tested the run off it was too acidic so i kept flushing to get the soils ph back up. i was wondering what was lowering my ph in my soil and i read foxfarms nute label and they lower the ph to keep freshness of the nutes. so now i check my ph after i add nutes in my water.
My tap water is already alkaline (7.3) so adding the Fox Farm nutes brings it down to an acceptable range (6.8) works out kinda nice
