Canada is going through the same issues at the moment. I remember when I lived in London how laid back everyone was about that. I hope Brown and his idiotic policies (I follow UK politics a little) don't continue forward.

Have you noticed that ever since awareness of the benefits of MJ has started to rise and as the medical community has started supporting it, the government has stopped touting the health problems it supposedly causes? I remember they used to talk about brain damage or some stupid shit, and now they just try to propagate stereotypes. Instead of saying "hey kids, it's bad for your health, don't do it" like they used to now they are saying "hey kids, you won't be cool, don't do it"... Well, they've always tried to make it look uncool, but they haven't pushed the stereotype before.
Morons. Unfortunately they deceive the vast majority of US citizens. I blame the lack of focus on education in the US for that.

Im pritty sure I was reading an article or someones post on a form although I dont remember which one, but he made a good point:
-The government wants pot to be illegal because it's hard for them to make money off of it. Some people think that marijuana is illegal because it is 'bad' for you, if that was the case then ciggarettes and alcohol who be banned to, but they aren't because the government can make money from them.
- Its relitivly easy to grow and distribute marijuana on your own, tax free. The government would have no way to know your information or keep track of distributers and manufactors to force taxation. Thus.. they made it illegal
I don't know about you, but it sounds like a pritty good reason to me. There's probibly many more 'reasons' but this one sure made a lot of sence to me.

Nope. They killed for it, and they wanted their children to do just the same if peace fails to work. Fighting is the last thing I'd ever want to do, but I accept the possibility that one day we may have to take real action to preserve our way of life. It worries me greatly, but I like to think of happy thoughts.
To criminalize an ancient healing herb and persecute its users so harshly is clear evidence of some kind of mental disorder; a disease.
Those that destroy our personal freedoms are no different than sociopaths and psychopaths... they all suffer from some form of psychological disorder. To think any less of them would be a crime on our part. Even big corporations fit the general psychological profile of having antisocial personality disorder... freaky shit.
Make no mistake; we are being repressed by a mass majority of mentally disturbed groups of people. All the education in the world won't convince them that they are the crazy ones. They will continue to propagate their lies, infecting the young minds of our society within the education system that they require us by law to submit to.
We need more people to infiltrate the system of government to help us gain back our freedoms. It's a very long process and not guaranteed to work; the only other option is revolution.
How long can we hold our ground and play the Peace card? Nearly a 1/4 of the states have made some success, but the heart of the beast still beats strong. I'm not gonna wait for laws to change, I'm gonna do whatever feels right for myself and fly under the radar to avoid any trouble.
My stance for peace remains until my front door comes crashing down.
