Thank you and god bless, its brave people like you who have aquired (sp?) the freedom we have today. Thanks alot.
Sorry to hear you're joining the Military, it's a pity. You could do alot better at creating peace if you didn't contribute to the death of thousands of innocent civilians.
Thank you for choosing to help and protect this great country in it's time of war. May God watch over you and keep you safe. I salute you.
You know there are always people like you who have to be negative and post idiotic replys. She is doing something positive and she is not killing anyone. Take your hippy bullshit elsewhere.Quote:

All this "thanks for protecting my freedom" bullshit makes me sick. Thanks for making the world that much more dangerous.
I just hope Cheeched can handle it, she has had her moments, let's be honest. But she really seemed to be clear headed the last few times she posted.
Good luck, Cheeched! :)
Ghost, you do know that she is going to be a mechanic don't you. Do you think everyone who joins the military gets a rifle and goes to the frontlines to do battle? Combat units are only 20% of the military. I guess you think everyone who joins the military is gungho and looking to kill and serve their country. The military is a place of countless opportunity for many people. Combat and serving one's country are just a few of the reasons people join. Don't stereotype service members and veterans.
No, Saw.. I know that she is going to be a mechanic. I was responding to all the comments like "Thanks for protecting my freedom" and "you're doing a great thing" etc... She isnt doing a great thing. Its that simple.
"Combat and serving one's country are just a few of the reasons people join"
True, but they are the two main reasons. Wanting to kill people, and nationalism. That doesnt sound too great to me. I wouldnt be proud to fight for my country.. The only reason anyone is proud to fight for their country is because people have been brainwashed into believing that they need to.. how else will our governments get people to fight for them?
In my opinion, anyone who joins any of the armed forces, or anything like the national guard, is a part of the problem, not the solution.
I see what you're saying Ghost. Actually those are not the two main reasons people join the military. Job opportunities and educational benefits are the two reasons I have come across countless times. I honor and respect those who serve, not because I am brainwashed and believe in everything the US does, but because they are being selfless in their actions. I didn't kill a single person while I was in the infantry, but I did help many people in 3rd world countries, on a great many medical operations. Oh, but the media never shows those, just the war and bad stuff.Quote:
