New Kind Of SCROG?
I grow under a polythylene sheet (to seal off the heat in the upper "compartment" of the room). You don't see the plants well from above because the lights reflect in the sheet. The sheet also gets warmer than the air, so I try to avoid the plants touching the sheet.

I am giving this sort of idea serious consideration for a large cabinet that I have. Instead of glass though, I'm thinking plexiglass, so I can drill lots of ventilation holes in it. I believe the best application for this, is groing sideways to maximize the available growing space.
Secondly, when I do mine, I'm gonna do my best to "sandwich" the light between an upper and a lower level of growing plants. All sideways of course. When I get all the details worked out on paper and start construction, I'll start a thread about it.

New Kind Of SCROG?
Hey guys,
I have done much research for my aquarium, it is a fact that glass does indeed absorb a small amount of your light. It is said that acrylic actually allows much more light to pass through (near 100%). Acrylic does scratch easier and if exposed to too much heat will begin to break-down(burn).
But if you could keep the acrylic cool and clean it would be the best choice.

All I can say is intriguing
Glad someone said leave some air room under the glass.
Another thing I wonder is if the glass will heat up. Guess it depends on the ventilation
