Absatively!
Head da bad bugs off at the past.
And the bloom nutes can be used anytime with tomatoes.
Best to use veg nutes till they stop growing though or they will yellow from lack of nitrogen.
And just FYI.
I always thought that tomatoes with cracks and crannys were caused by overwatering.

Not so.
The ones from my dwc were smooth and almost perfect.
My coco tomatoes showed fissures on the first fruit and I ran them dry a couple times.
Been more careful and the rest are looking good.

Now testing to see just how rootbound coco can get without major hassles.

Hey, great trich shots. Fun seeing things in such detail, ain't it?
So, what's that AK47 pic? Is that an indoor plant finished in the sun?
There's some very rich ambers, and some new clears, too.

That was my guess. I split the difference and went about 60%-40% grow: bloom nutes (Dyna).

Seemed to me like large swings in soil moisture content caused my cracking problems. Too-dry to well-hydrated kine swings.
Made a tin-foil suit for my tomater. He's a chromato. :stoned:

6 weeks vegging under leds, then 8 weeks in the sun.
Could have gone another 2 or 3 weeks.
I'll get some flashed girl shots tomorrow.
Hmmm.
Tomorrow never comes.
So, I'm putting the led/sun trich shots in my album now.
Here's a sample;

What do tomater roots smell like??? (And, for later, what do cannabis roots smell like?)
Well, I added the .5 ml bleach to the res of my DWC tomato. The res had begun to smell "funny" -- not bad, or rancid, but quite a lot like a wet dog, actually...:wtf: The plant seemed fine at this concentration, but that smell had me concerned.
After ~ 12 hours the doggy smell was still there, so I added another .5ml of Clorox. :yippee:
The root hairs are definitely not liking this. Gonna mix a new res and swap. Got it a bit "hot," I'm afraid.... :o
But, the doggy smell is gone. "Pool test" chemicals show chlorine present, but if this were a swimming pool it'd need a higher concentration.
I'm thinking about removing my "wicking" twine before the roots get too involved with it, just seems like a good breeding ground for pathogens.
Got any advice for me, other than to quit dissolving my roots? ;)

You can pull the twine.
If you watch the water level it is not needed.
And da wrong kine twine will grow sweat socks.
I used it cause I'm a little lolo 'bout payin' attention to important stuff.:stoned:

Doin' a little light research. Looks like the disinfectant of choice is H2O2. Can't figure out if there's a codified "good level;" lotta "add a capful or two" kine advice.
Chlorine is a great sanitizer, but the LD50 for plants seems pretty close to that of my target pathogens. Not sure how persistent it is in this kine relatively closed system, either.
I think I'm gonna have slime problems unless I run some kinda disinfectant allatime, tho. Outside, anyway...;)

It wasn't all "swiss picnic" 'roun here allatime, either.
I did have one of my dwc tomatoes go stankey on me.
The ropes turned black and slimy.
Got pictures, somewhere.:stoned:
Lifted it out, and sprayed the roots n ropes with Safer's 3 way.
Got a decent fungicide in it, but, shake well and often, it tends to settle. And don't use it on leaf or bud.
(It tends to "burn" them and cause more damage than mites.):(
Seriously, my friend killed 3 of his girls with it.
I only use it for major root slime
Gave the water surface a few sprays as well and the plant recovered.
Grew some great 'maters !
Lazy?
Sure.
Sloppy?
You bet!
But also lucky, yah?
Look like Rebgirl no wanna play.
Maybe give her one mo' day.
Den, you wanna spank me more?
I gonna start wit' P -Q4
