Corn Lettuce and Watermelon just to name a few are all annuals and they are a fruit or Veg not a flower!!
Rock I'm not questioning rhizome Rep on the site... I just would like to see were all annuals carry the same traits. I would rather see such independent study as Opie's rather then reading someone's thesis... That's all..

Albeit an interesting <possible> topic, I see no need to pollute the Hound's thread or CannCom with such a debate. :wtf3:
We all respect differing opinions but really Rock hit it on the head when he said this is silly. Not bashing anyone, just providing my opinion.
Now pass this GDP fatty to the right... :joint1:

Well I'm "soil newbie" enough to make use of the generalized info about annuals and I can see the correlation in regards to the cut-flower trade.....you want to grow the biggest and best in the shortest time possible etc and certain principles will remain the same as far as things go (ie: dogs eat dog food vs cat food) and then tweak things individually for each strain and conditions.
But since GL mentioned it......ummm yeah, if someones knows the ideal nutes schedule for blooming ganja in soil please feel FREE to POST IT AS WELL!!

...mosies into rotation on that GDP J.....
wouldn't the "IDEAL" nute levels differ by strain? I already can see there is a HUGE amount of difference between the nute "hunger" of the Church compared to the Blue Russian... (which is doing GREAT by the way:greenthumb:)
I guess you can only get as far as "BR like full dosage FF nutes while in FFoF soil, no perlite added.." whereas the "Church like half dose FF nutes every other watering, in FFoF soil"
just MHO...although this seems like a kinda weird topic to take up so much space, MHO again....
I took horticulture in high school, and If I had never grown herb before, and you told me its an annual, I would have the magic light bulb over my head, and probably be able to grow out a crop without grabbing the grow bible. MJ is an Annual Flower...simple. Step "outside the box" and its pretty easy. I forget to do this myself quite often....
I have no idea what my point is....thats some great GDP MVP:rastasmoke:

WH Great Thread:thumbsup: Apologize for using up space on OT.
That GDP hit me nice I just blazed Up.:jointsmile::jointsmile:
Hey SNS I also noticed that Church is very temperamental to Nutes... You have to play it close to the cuff w/ that strain. I have gone to 1200 but had to come down to 950. I will be trying to bringing it back up today.
Well good Talk http://boards.cannabis.com/../custom...tar61305_1.gif rhizome I would like to pop into the thread on the annuals.

Every one likes that GDP! I remember I bought some from someone awhile back (before I started growing) and it made me fairly slack-jawed. I remember being impressed by the size of the bud too. ;)

GDP is a Top 5 for me at the moment. I am trying to revive some cuts and keep the strain alive in my room. A couple of oversights may have her going extinct (temporarily, she is clone only stock) if I cannot nurse her cuts back to life...

So Mr and Hound and I went to the hydro store today and discussed fertilizing soil plants.
He felt that keeping ppms at about 800 for blooming plants was a good number and that going with lower fert numbers more often was his preferred way of growing AND he mentioned that at the lower numbers you could water try watering with ferts EVERY watering......keeping an eye out for overnute and ph issues etc....
So that's the plan at this point......;)

That is nice to here I feel rather then blowing them out lower is better also less headaches for a little less weight... What is his opinion later in bloom any boost or just every watering @9oo
