Fog, you seem impressed at the results of topping, and I don't mean your FIB (Fuck I Burned). Do you recommend it? YOu've had the chance to compare both LST and topping in real time, right? Did it set you back much timewise?
.
-
JOURNAL OF A MADMAN
I can honestly say...I like topping & LST the same. I think they go hand in hand. I don't know if I would ever "not" top a plant. 2 tops are more manageable than one...I top, then LST...then top some more...and keep LSTing. We did FIM also, and it seemed to work. That's good too.
I would like to try supercropping...and more FIMing...hey maybe some more FIBing...
As far as the "time" thing goes, I really would have to go back and look to see how much it "set us back" because there is really nothing to compare it too. I am sure the plants have been growing slower since the topping and LSTing, but really have needed that to wait for the flowering to finish! :)
Did I answer your question? I'm kind of spread thin here so I'm a little distracted. Let me know, and I'll re-type. :D
Be...coool.

Can't wait to hear from you guys! :D:D:D

F[r]og...Is that pic of all the water jugs a heat sink for even ing out temps, or just your water supply in case of disaster? :D
Looking good still!
As for spidermites, keep your temps cool, your breeze breezy, and use lots o' neem during veg and on into the first couple weeks of flower. They HATE that crap!

Thanks for the reply Fog.
Since youre a sociable kind of guy as well as the Clone Master, I'm going to ask another no-patience question, lol...Just cloned for the first time, did it by the book, sterilized everything, rhizopon, humidator, little or no nutes left in them, cut away leaves for nodes to be powdered, etc etc etc...The thing is, They're still fresh and perky after 4 hours. Is that a sign of anything? I usually read things like they wilt within minutes etc, and I'm hoping this is a good sign so far...

I wish I could say they were something cool like a 'heat sink' (even though they might be one inadvertantly), but...alas...it's nothing that complicated. Just lotsa RO H2O. Water-porn. lol :D
Well, temps in the BodomBox (where the damage is and webs are) are cool (78F)...Breeze is kinda breezy...and there was no neem used during veg or flowering and it's too late now. There has been no more damage so we hope that was just a freak accident. I would still like to know what it is, though. :o
~faithless~
Hey, bruddah. Thanks for the props. I am not necessarily the Cloning Master, I just have learned how and have not failed...hypothetically...and I really think it is easy to do.
Anyway, on the first run of our clones, we had some wilting and yellowing after about 5 or 6 days if I remember correctly, but they still all lived. On the 2nd run, they wilted less about 4-5 days in...lived. 3rd run, so far, very little to no wilting. They look healthy and have all rooted wonderfully and are vegging. No worries about the lack of wilting. You'll be ok. I recently posted somewhere my method for cloning. Very simple and basic. I dont even really sterilize stuff any more. :o lol Just use a new razor, gel, and seaweed.
Dont worry, they're fine. Love them. Hope this helps.
