4-20-07 here I come. . .

Here is my plant as of two days ago, I wonder how much longer. . .


Things are looking up, and smelling nice. I am finally noticing density to the colas, and I am getting this sweat/lemon/zesty smell from it. . .

So I am back from Texas, I harvested as soon as I got home. At one in the morning, now I get to wait and watch. . .

hmm from your post on april 4 you said from a few days ago those plants looked like they still had like another 3/4 weeks into them im curious into how it came out ..

YA, Looking at it now. I would say i still had another 2 weeks before I should of touched it. . . I rushed it because I needed the space for my clone. Whats the worst that can come of me cutting it to soon? Is there anything I need to worry about? or anything I should do?

hmm im not expert but id say you should dry it over a few weeks then cure it for sure to get the maximum effect. if you waited more it wouldve bulked up more and matured a little more so what you lost is a little weight and some high.. i dont wanna make you feel bad but many people say the real growing is the last 2 weeks where it puts on alot of weight. but dont worry this is completely ok you are learning so am I.. what is the purpose of this forum? to show off to people you dont and will never know? i dont think so its to learn the best.. take care man and get some harvest pics:p

Your making me feel like freakin' Charlie Brown. . . At least I got a good clone. I am taking alot of pics now that I got my digital, but I picked up some Everclear in Texas that is slowing me down(not trying to name drop). I feel kinda stupid though, I hope to do a way better job on the next cycle, and that is completly possible because of the kindness of strangers. . .so thanks everyone. . .sorry to dissapoint. I mean if I did. . .lol

Ok, so finally some pics. . .

Here are the harvest pictures, The first pic. is of my plant right before I cut it down. The other three shots are of the buds drying in my closet. and yes that's my clothes hanging in the background. I really need to get it together, I think this next time I will be alot more carefull with making decisions. . .

This grow was under 12/12 for only 9 weeks. . .

are you not using a scope to determine trich color and when to harvest? those buds look pretty good :thumbsup:

Yeah they were getting cloudy. I am using a Photo negative Lens to look at them. It gives a good close up but I wish I could look a little closer. . .

i know im stupid for saying this but i have to... why is herb illegal? that fact has nothing to do with it.. the government gets money from drug sales, if they made it legal it drugs would be cheaper and they wouldnt get so much money. but by making it illegal and time to time busting asses to those who dont bribe them enough they reduce the amount of drugs in the planet and get make drug prices rise.. and make their pockets fill more..

lol i actually came up with this idea, i was thinking if there was no herb in the planet almost none.. like that movie waterworld.. and some guy wanted to sell you one bud for like 20.000 dollars.. would i buy it... interesting dont you think? ( i wouldnt buy it :) )

LOL, that link is more of how it came to be, at least in my country. That Ass-hole Anslinger was also able to talk other countrys into joining in on our countrys ignorance. We can pretty much blame it on him, or the Treasury Department. And in my opinion the facts have everything to do with it. A bunch of gullible citizens tainted a plant with such bullshit notions. Now, on top of everything else, they use this past to turn a profit instead of advancing our society. . .Why is herb Illegal? because the government can't have the balls to go back on their word. They can't just tell a dealer it is ok to deal now. You said it yourself, why stop a good cash crop, at least for themselves. . .

But, yeah, for sure. . .I will give them a smoke re-cap as soon as they are dried properly. I want to cure, maybe even throw some in the freezer for a long cure. I think they will be good and dry my the 19th. . .

woohoo:) thats great im going to try something ive never heard anyone do this but maybe you would like to try also. i was thinking about throwing in a slice of orange while curing. and changing the slice everyday.. you think it would give the buds a slight taste of orange? it would be really cool to smoke not really orange but a very faint orange bud.. :smokin:

I think I have heard of that. It seems like a really cool idea, I would want to use a lime peel though, I'm not big on the old orange smell. I say go for it, I will try it on a small scale with maybe a nug or two. It's worth a shot. . .

should the peel be kinda dry when you put it in, or should it be freshly cut?

Ok so I had to do it. . . I know it is still a little soon, but I am home alone and bored out of my mind.

So, here it is, The First Official Blunt of my harvest. . .I am going to smoke it at 4:20, and I'll let you know. . .I bet it tastes green. . .:D

There is the cut and cure. . .and yes it feels like I did this to soon also. They feel super dry though, and the stems snapped well. . .

The small buds are on the left jar, the main cola's are in the right. . .i suck, lol

oh thats a good amount at least:) i would say it should be fresh.. so that the molecules in the peal are juicy.. :)

My freakin scale is busted, I don't know what it is. I changed the battery and nothing, this is lame. . .

OK, so I tossed in a lime peel. I am going to check back daily for moisture. I'm going to give it like a week or so before I take the peel out, and possibly storing in the fridge. . . . .

LOL, I found these Silica packets at my work, and since I noticed the peel is making the buds kinda moist. I am going to throw the packets in the jars. . . those things are great. . .

I think I am smoking it way to fast, I know originally I planned on smoking it all for 4/20, but I really didn't think it through to well. I have maybe 20g left. . .

My next goal, after I start to flower the next batch, is to find my lady a mate. . . I want to grow a male so that I can pollenate and have some seeds to store. I really like these buds, I liked them the first time and I am glad they show alot of charactoristics of the original herb. Any one got some pollen they want to share. . .lol. . . preferably a Satavia strain. . .is it illegal to mail pollen? :smokebong:

hmmm.. im not sure but its pretty stupid someone arresting you for mailing polen.. but just incase a small distraction im the box would do fine..:)

I have one germing. I am going to see what comes of that, but I really want to see if I can get my hands on some pollen. I also am trying to figure out how to get some commercial strains. I have alot on my plate right now. Besides getting my girl knocked up, I am shopping for a cab, along with equip. I am watching my closet closely because their has been alot of yellowing showing up. All the clones are growing nicely now. i will try to get some pics. up on my other thread. . .

any ideas Sky?

I also had another question, I was in my closet the other day during veg, and I noticed that the clones are still showing female signs and producing trics. I cut off one of the saks, and when I looked inside. I noticed there was a very small but sure enough a seed there. I know the seed was not even close to maturaty, but I am wondering if that is normal or if I might have a problem. Again, it is a super small seed, which has no real signs of being ready to grow, but never the less I know thats what it is. . . . any ideas folks, this one really gots me thinking.

I actually have no exact title. The buds that it came from was a freind of mines grow, he said he bought a clone but I dont know the name. He said it was something like an orange (Cali " ", " " crush, or " " cronic). . . But I don't know because the guy talks crazy sometimes. . . it is zesty dank though. . .

ouch! 2-3 weeks??? It looked nice to me man. But then again I've never grown anything, so I have no idea what to look for. Still man, awesome looking. Good luck on your next round, I hope that 'oops' turns into something great. are you going to document that one also? I would love to see that.

No biggy, the nugs came out way better than I thought, the only think I might of messed up on was the yeald, and 36g is nothing to cry over. . .

O.K. So here's the last of it. It's time to sit back and enjoy the memories. . .:rasta:
