yeah, ive been mixing 1/4 teaspoon a gallon.
i suggest just waiting until the plant has matured enough to handle nutes like that.. like 4th or 5th real set of leaves .. which means your close
weird thing is, the plant that is bigger started out deformed and looked like it wouldnt make it, now its reversed.
haha yeah sometimes that shit happens ... well anyway heres my reward for my work... not much but for only a couple of cfl's im damn proud!
< I like.
thanx man i like it too!

Dude.
You're a half robotic, pot growing maniac!
haha.. i guess.. but not really that last grow was only my first ever..
Are you using that Expert Gardener soil again? Saw some at wally world.
yeah but not in this stage... after i move her from the six inchpot ill put her in that.. right now shes in just plain old potting soil with sum pearlite/ dolomite lime mixed in.. no nutes for her until she hits her 4th node

You did good for your first Grow. How much did you end up with?
looking forward to your next Grow.
Good Luck
I think you are probably right. These two plants of mine i planted in Miracle-Gro organic soil both look pretty pathetic for the age that they are. I will never again use anything with the name Miracle-Gro on the label. Stinkyattic here told me to use composted cow manure mixed with perlite and vermiculite, i may try that recipie. Or i might try to make a soilless mix with the 3.8 cf bale of sphagum peat i was given.Quote:

Hey notorious P.O.T, are you growing one seed at a time? :o
yeah i am... i figured that i dont really need as much as other people would need.. i can get by on 1 plant every 2 months.. with a veg chamber and a flowering closet i can always have another plant ready to flower.. so i can have new bud every 2 months!
~Notorious
just some more ice baby pics... they grow fast at this stage!
That could be a good idea but what if they are male :o , that will be 2 months of nothing and then the next bean might be male too (4 months of time wasted)...
yeah thats true but thats why im looking for a mother plant now that i got my veg chamber... so i know they will all be female..... so when i top this one im gonna find out if its a female by just flowering my cloneand if not then i can just try again until i get a female and then i will be set...yeah its kinda strange that im only doing one at a timeeven though i can have like 8 or ten plants in my closet if i had the right light.. but id rather only have to pay attention to one... that just the way i look at it...

im gonna be following your grows man. for being a noob grower, you sure did very well your first round. Im about to kill mine and start over, they seem like shit. Plus i just went got all kinds of things at lowes for a better grow (i hope)
thats cool man .. you can never have too much stuff for a grow room.. and i will try to answer your questions as best as i can through out the grow....

thanx man maybe its just the difference in strains.. cuz ur plants do look healthy except for the nute burned one...
Thought maybe you could tell me what the problem here might be. Maybe a magnesium issue? The leaves also seem to be curling slightly like a canoe shape. The plant will be 3 weeks old friday, still seems kinda small for a 3 week old plant. I plan on transplanting to a bigger pot very soon. I have things i bought from lowes that might be ok to try and make a soil mix with. I have composted cow manure, mushroom compost, blood meal, bone meal, epsom salts, garden lime sphagum peat moss, perlite, vermiculite and red lava rocks. Any suggestions for a good mix of this stuff would be very appreciated :D

ithg- ohh no nutes yet..huh then i wonder why that one plant is takeing the heat so much worse then the rest of them .. but ur plants do look good.. u figure out a way to get rid of the heat yet?
good luck to both of you guys...

p.s the underside of my plants leaves are purple... has anyone ever heard of this? is this a bad thing or could it just be a trait of the ice strain.. any info is greatly appreciated!
~Notorious
just some more pics..day 10 from seed...you can see the purple underside in the second pic... anyone know about this?
Whats the temps in the room. Sometimes when a plant is at too cold of a temp it will turn a purplish color, or it could just be a trait of the strain.
the temps are pretty consistant at between 70 and 85 all the time... so im not sure.. im thinking its just a trait but i wanted to make sure... thanx for the info though delta!

thanx ithg and legion... yeah legion what size pot are your babies in now? cuz once my babys pop out of the jiffy pot and roots start coming out of the bottom... i transplant into the 6 inch

~Notorious
ok well, i transplanted them, im keeping my fingers crossed. Actually man these plants have been in the same 6" pots they started it :( Just moved them up in some bigger pots, i think 2 or 3 gallon, not sure. I hope the mix i made wont kill them, i took a soil mix from someone and planted them in it
5 parts canadian peat
3 parts perlite
2 parts mushroom compost
1 tbps blood meal
2 tbs bone meal
2 tbsp dolomite lime per gallon of mix
