Next time, I won't try to point that out in such a humourous manner. I'll cut the guy to verbal shreds and leave his post bleeding to death on the side of the thread. You may not have been talking about every single person but when you generalize by saying "older generations", you do "say" every person of the older generations.
At least you have clarified yourself and corrected the slip. No one can fault you for that. Perhaps your slip was less "kid krap" and more just a misinformed opinion. My apologies.
Hey there cus, I thought you had dropped off the map after the big Texas win over USC. Also Allen isnt my last name so dont worry I dont think we are really related. Im in Dallas, and I think we might have emailed each other once upon a time about some Hash. If you are the right person, let me know sometime. I get down to Marble Falls from time to time and would always like to meet a fellow law breaker.....LOLQuote:

And they are not particularly interested in your age. They look down on all tokers as being fried, ineffecive, lazy, unreliable etc. Most of us in this age group make it a point to NOT let our coworkers know what we do on our own time for several reasons. First, eventually it gets back to the boss and unless boss is a toker, that's not a good thing. If it eventually gets to the HR folks, and it will, they will also be "keeping an eye" on your patterns, performance, behavior etc. And then there is the office gossip machine that keeps folks talking behind your back. This will happen no matter where you work so why give them any ammo. Also keep in mind that as a parent, one usually is not very forthcoming with that information either. When we were kids, none of us would have even conceived of the idea of turning our parents in to the cops. There was no DARE program teaching kids to narc on their parents. Believe it or not, there really is a stigma attached to drug use and if anything, it's even worse in this new century than in the last one. "When we were kids" (there's that phrase again) there was no drug testing. Not even in the military.Quote:

Good thing I'm not a woman. Women over 30 are the best. No question about that one. (I say this as a man who is pushing 50, not filthy rich and therefore couldn't get a 20yr old to sleep with him, but that's another issue) Women over 30 are just that...women. (most of them anyway) Raquel Welch is still gorgeous,Quote:

I'm pushing over-30 bonsaiguy. You painted a scary view of industries, factories, and labs everywhere.
I guess those memories from those few days of those few jobs I had at a few factories came back to me. Wasn't bad, it was just, factory work.
Well, "they" say that smoking MJ makes you paranoid. But it's been my observation that the world is that way. And the further up the ladder you go, the worse it gets. I've worked in factories, plants, and office buildings as both a laborer and a "professional" (IT geek) and it's a wierd wierd world out there. I worked at a small company (13 employees) whose CEO probably made over a million a year, shmoozed with country club types, and he was getting his main sales guy to get the warehouse guy to get him nose candy. But he was very hush hush about it and didn't think anyone else knew. Warehouse guy was also my "provider" for smoke. He was eventually canned for smoking on the job (almost always a bad idea). It's even worse in larger companies that have HR departments. HR departments were not invented to benefit employees.Quote:

I don't recall any boobies on Fraggle Rock. Wasn't that show done by Jim Henson...as in Muppets. Wait, I googled it, it was Henson. Speaking of the Muppets...pretty much everyone loved them. Apparently it's getting more and more difficult to appeal to all ages judging by the decline in quality of kids shows over the last 20 years. I mean Spongebob for christs sake...who writes this shit? Where's Johnny and Hajii and Bandit when we need them? (and why did Johnny look more like Race then Dr.Qwest?) I swear cartoons like Speed Racer were the beginning of the end for civilized childrens television.

Anything Hanna Barbera was top notch stuff. Yup, Speed Racer spelled the end of good television cartoon. That's Japanese animation for you. They may have thought they could do it better than us, but they didn't realize we didn't want their stuff to begin with. Although there is now quite a cult following for things like Sailor Moon, etc. It's the differences between generations. Just like music. My parents don't like the music I like and I don't like the music my kids like. That's just the way of it.
Yeah The Muppets were great! There are very few good cartoons anymore. My niece loves Dora The Explorer which seems like a good show and u can even learn Spanish!
Naw i was talking about after Fraggle Rock I had HBO in my room so I would stay up later watching movies on HBO.....Quote:

And Gerome the Giraffe. Now, that was television.

Hey, I still watch Rocky & Bullwinkle, narrated by William Conrad aka Frank Cannon, P.I. Yup it had humour for kids and kids at heart. :thumbsup:Quote:
