If I've had more cfls last year to begin with, maybe peachez would have been bushier, she was the bushiest of the 2!

Maybe not a monster this year, but WAY better than last year, she's as big as the 2 of last year, combined together! And i'm an optimist-realist, so yeah buds will be big...but I don'T know how to make realy dense buds, without too much leaves in them..

Just remember that CFL's only put out about 4000 lumens at best. This is great for rooting, small veg and maybe even mature veg. Your flowering results though will be maximized if done at the smallest size possible.
Under CFL's you should be flowering clones, not a 2 foot mother plant.

i was talking to BB MB. i've grown some "monsters" under CFLs. granted, the buds were light and airy, but they were pretty damn big none the less. such is the nature of the beast under CFLs. i had some plants that were 3+ feet tall and had multiple buds (due to topping and LST) that were bigger than a 1 quart bottle of nutes by far. check the pics. those were done under CFLs.Quote:

Monkey, I think you will get more than 4 oz, Since you are only doing 1 plant from start to finish this time. More light=More bud, as long as she don't get sick this time round either.

Hows it going monkey.? I think you should shoot for around Christmas for flowering. Plants looking good, You should pull some of the lower branches out a little bit. I think they will get more light penetrating in the plant, for better budding IMO.:thumbsup:

That plant is going to be about double the size it is now by the time you're getting flower development... I would seriously reconsider flowering ASAP.

I know that, that's why I'm vegging that long! I want a big ass plant! Last year they were around 4 feet tall and around 2 feet wide. So this year, this plant will be around same height and width maybe a bit more but I predict a maximum height of 50 inches, and a width of 28 inches maximum.Quote:

Cause that's the only way it'll get enough energy to flower the way you probably want it to flower.
Your "big ass plant" will produce "weak ass buds" under those CFL's.
And no...
I'm not talking out my ass, i've completed probably 2 dozen grows and manage a hydroponics store full time.

Yo Bob, Everyone can't afford, or have the area for a 600watt.. I can't wait myself. But He is just doing a personal grow, And I believe he is trying to compare the out come of this grow, To his last year grow then have knowledge of how he can work his area for future use.
I mean its none my business or anything, But isn't it Exp. that we really need to get our own growing spaces dialed in.?....Trial & error period. Without Trying it out you never know what may happen. Everyone has different success and failures..IMHO.
I just think the best we can do is offer advise, & hope for the best for the other people with their experiences.:wtf: Then after give advise on things to improve on or different Techniques to try if they are not satisfied with results or problems...Imo.!

I don't want to fight over each other. The point is, I am the only one capable of knowing what is best for my plant here and now. Yes maybe I shoul flower sooner. Yes maybe I should throw some molasse in there. Yes maybe I should test the ph of the water solution. Yes maybe I should use other fert, etc...
I will try to flower later because last year I flowered as soon as I saw those pre-flowers, like 2 months vegging..I'm not even at 2 months veggin with this grow. Week-end before christmas is the date as for now. Not this week-end but the other week-end, since preflowers were seen almost a month ago.
I take advices like a take the talking of a women, I hear it but I don't always listen to it.:wtf:

Killer had a thought as you'r lower branches..you can make holes in the top of your pots and not cut them but tie them down a bit and open your canopy for more light to the center of the plant..As you'r plant is now the canopy is reflecting the light..
If you tie some branches down just a bit it will allow more light in and well produce more bud sites..The end result would only be more SMOKE and even maybe better..Because you will be losing light in the center of the plant..
I am no expert but make scents (OO im drinking) But we all like as much light to the whole plant as possible right?? THE MORE THE BETTER?

Na, Bob is a kool person with great advise.! He has a lot of information that he is just trying to spread round. Which I believe to be great, considering this site is not up to stat like before and others.
Everyone has their right to agree to disagree. And I completely agree with him on his last post, But just stated every-ones grow will turn out different. What may work for you and 3 others may not work for me or someone else.
