I just transplanted my oldest yesterday and seems happy to get out of the old soil. Iv had it close to 10 years but haven't been giving it enough love, so it looks like it. You must keep up on pruning and i wasn't able to care for it for 11 months. Its a huge thing i cant get into till this log is over. Iv had some problems as for the "pitty" thing. But at the end of this thread people will get blown away. Count on it! Just cant get into it as of yet.

But, iv been paying more attention to my other plants lately. I really need to re pot the new i got for x-mas. I even moved it and was ready to re pot, but its so hot i put off. I already have some dead branches which is really bad. I really need to get those glued rocks off and check out the roots. I might try to do it today, if my weed picture taking doesnt get in my way lol. I take about 50 a day, so i can put them on my lap top and look at them at night. I just cant get close enough to them. I think im going to tape a mirror to a stick, it would work im sure.:D

But this new type of growing has just fascinated me. Weed grows so fast and learning is so fun. Also, iv met some really great people here, like yourself:thumbsup: Heck i even bought a desk top LED light to grow one right by my bed. Just an experiment but it will be fun as hell. It will give me more experience too.

If you are in fact in the US, I would suggest Attitude Seed Bank. Stealth shipping is available (the stash everything in a folded up tshirt), and they are shipped out of the UK so no customs issue. I got mine 8 days after placing my order and they all showed up in the original breeder packaging.

Wow thanks irydyum, its a beat up question and everyone has there favorite. I believe iv read the thread headshake turned me on too. Why no customs from there, UK? Just curious. If they put them in a shirt thats way cool, because when i ordered seeds they come in a "ipod carrier". At least thats what they called it, along with a generic form that had different things the feds must find a lot, mine was checked cannabis. Hell i waited 2 months for that crap.

Hermies, still produce "nanners" like males except that they grow within the bud and the flowers/pistils. Sometimes you won't see any nanners till harvest, then when you break open that one bud, dink, dink, dink.....seeds all over the place. I usually look for calyx that look like they are about to open up and look for the seed to grow from there. Hermies do suck IMO sometimes. Unless of course, your looking for some extra seeds for the future. Not sure what herming your plant will do to the genetic line, but a good way for some extra seed.

a hermie is a hermaphrodite aka exhibits both sexual organs. so a hermie in a cannabis plant shows female and then via either genetics (a seed from a hermie is genetically disposed to being a hermie) or outside sources (lighting schedule mess-ups, nutes stress, heat stress etc) can also cause a hermie.

that if a hermie pollinates itself, would the resulting offspring be hermie?

where if u used hermie pollen to breed with a healthy female the resulting offspring would be female (feminized) if the plant didnt become stressful later on.

or alot of stress causing a plant (female) to become hermie without any kind of breeding of course.

i have no friggin clue..hahaha but im dyin to know about offsprings and breeding. off to read...

Ok Italiano, that makes a bunch of sense, because of what my plants look like today. Also, my 07 grow, which was the first time i really was able to watch them grow (avatar). Picked out a male on spot today, which means im catching on. Thanks for the input man:D:rasta:

Thanks heashake. Do you think that bag seed is more genetically disposed then if you purchase from a bank? Also, do you think its ethically wrong to use a hermy to create seeds. Iv seen a thread about the fact that older strains arent around any more because of this method and probably similar others?
I havent heard of Red Bud for some time being around, not that i really know any dealers.

A hermy makes seeds that are 50/50 i think. I think the seeds could be hermy too. I think and someone i hope can clear this up but i think it go's xxy hermy, then xx would go female and xy male? Thats why when you breed a hermy with a female you get femed seeds because of the xxy plus xx = female. Yeah that seems right. HELP:wtf:

The hermies i grew got ya stoned, but what a mess. Frickin seeds just fly out when ya try to clean it. Well man im not sure yet. I mean i have one in a pot still that i think is a female. I got 3-4 i need to cut down:( cuz im pretty sure it there male. I think i have 5 females but im not able to get down close to them to tell. It hasnt rained here in two weeks man.

The second pic looks just like the first. I was trying to bend them over with my foot, to get a side pic. That way i can blow em up and look for pistils. I tend to put off cutting down males. I know there males, but i guess i second guess myself. To bad i cant go out there take a pic, send it to ya and you could tell me,"kill it" or "keep it". The first few are in the woods. As you can see they get great light; each plant is getting about 6-8 hours everyday and maybe more because iv never been out there at night. But i know its dark as hell and i dont have to worry about any lighy leaks. The stems are turning green from the red viens through the leaf stems and stalk.

I am feeding still 15-30-15 once 1/2 strangth, then 3/4 strangth once each week. I know at some point i need to stop, because some of them are starting to bud. Someone told me the nutes were to strong. But they stop growing, after 2 weeks i started feeding them like this and they've grown a bunch. But this person said my weed will taste bad, which i know, but dont know when to stop ferts. its all i have? Its like the nutes made em grow.:D

you want to stop all nutes at least two weeks prior to harvest. i know that can be hard to tell, so you want to look at the trichomes. when you start getting some ambers it's time to harvest. everyone's preference is different. some like 10-15% amber, some 20-25%. the more milky they are the more uppity and cerebral the high, the more amber the more couch-lock stoned. (plus genetics play a large part in this too, obviously!)

so with that being said stop feeding around 75% or so of trichomes. just use pH'd water and maybe unsulphured, blackstrap molasses. (or the plain unsulphured found at the grocery store and walmart will work just fine, just not quite as good). at least this way you won't feed to close to harvest and next time you'll have an idea of how long it will be from the 75% (or so) milky trichomes til harvest and can adjust accordingly.

Looking very good my friend, Also to awnser your question earlier, there is nothing wrong with letting a hermie seed itself if its on its own, if its in a patch i'd pull it :( From personal experience I really dont advise this though because the hermie I let seed itself made many many hermie genetic seeds. Best way to get seeds is one male and one female in a closet! Controlled enviroment and you can decide when the seeds are ready meaning a way better chance of germination rather then outdoors.

Also when it comes to bag seed it normally tends grow just as good as seed banks but when it comes to quality, I've fallen for the seed banks :O two trusted seed banks from my experience are dutch passion and HD (hemp depot) DP is from Ampsterdam and HD is from good ol' Canada! Can get rather expensive but my buddies in the states have used both and had success, can only wish you the same and plants look very sexy! Keep up the good work, Lurkin along :stoned:

Hey thanks headshake, i needed that information and questions can get passed over. Not on purpose but people cant remember things ask early in the thread.

I think its comes with experience. I know i want the more energetic type high. The sack a friend brought me just puts me to sleep. Which is fine about 10-11 at night, but not at 1-2 in the afternoon.:stoned:

Hey, thanks for checkin out my thread. Iv never done one, but this one has a few reasons. Mainly i wanna learn to grow and this is the best place for that.:D I ordered seeds but the boarder control got em:( Cost me 85 bucks. But im looking to buy some Wonder Woman, from a different site, but its Nirvana's seed. The site was turned on to me by a grower thats been helping me on here. Attitude Seeds. They have more breeders then iv seen at any site. Around $50.00 for 10, plus a freebie. Im just curious if anyone has grown it before. But i like the way they look. The time i got my seeds taken by the boarder control were from dutch passion. Sucked man. I just chopped down the male/hermy today. I think it was male, but i might have a hermy in the garden.

Well last plant in a cantainer. This plant looks sweet. It did go through the light on the porch half its life. But all is well and continous to grow more bud sites. I topped it at the forth node and it worked out better then i could have planned. I got 6 new branches after i topped. Also pistils are all over.
Pic's are first 2, plant in grow try and 3rd are the 6 top's i was talking about.

The last 2 pics are of the first plant i posted. It freaked out after i topped it at 3rd node. I used old soil in a container that didnt have enough drainage and probobly to much ferts. So, i took it out of the container and planted it in my garden, the only thing my dog wont eat! Its got great growth, then its got growth that comes out of the stem then drys up and dies? Iv seen pistils, but now balls. It also was in the deck light. Poor thing went through hell:wtf:

If anyone see's something in the 4th an 5th pic's let me know. I thank everyone who's been helping me. I feel like iv learned a ton. But the really good thing is that iv just tipped the iceberg.WOW:rasta:

Yeah i had thought so. I was hoping it would hermy. The pic's above it are the females i have left for this year. There is one small plant im not sure of. But i pretty much can see the difference now. It took me to see them grow. I am looking to buy Wonder Woman seeds, off that site you gave me. There are a freakin ton on that site to choose from. Im not set on them, but they look nice. Also, they dont grow real big, yet more like a bush.

Well there all sexed out and i have 7 for the year. I thought id take a few pic's of the plants i think are looking ok. Gotta remember i burned em up bad earlier in the year. Bugs were eating me up so i used some soapy water. It was a pretty windy day and thought they would be ok, but the wind didnt blow off the extra on the leaves and burned em up. You can see there better. My dogs nose poked in one shot, to give you a size. He's a big dog. There not huge and there still growing, but iv learned a few things for next years grow.:thumbsup:

Thanks shake. Iv learned a lot from you guys and did a hell of a lot of reading. It feels good to diagnose your own problems, which iv been able to do a couple of times. This is one hobby il never give up. Im going to try indoors this year, just need supplys. Also, i want to get those Wonder Women seeds at Attitude. Its like growing bonsai only the plant is on crack<fast growing>.

Hey MD thanks for stopping bye. Yeah someone told me they were too strong, but i cut it down too about a half, 3/4 and they started growing faster and as you see more healthy:D They went close to 3 weeks and maybe longer on just H2O. But you can see there better now:D. Stop back again sometime guy:thumbsup:
