think I know the one you mean......brb.....
It's either page one of this one....
http://boards.cannabis.com/grow-log/...wood-tree.html
or...if not this then I have one more thread that I talk about making DIY stuff.....hang on....
or this one....
http://boards.cannabis.com/hydroponi...ng-system.html
but probably in the first link I'm thinking.
If we EVER DO get a pound a plant (no C02....I'm so jealous WT) it will be from Carrie.....who is pretty enormous at this point and has plenty of light, a recirculating nute system AND A DRIP RING! ;) Everything in hydro from here on out gets a drip ring running 24/7......no if, ands or buts about it!
! :wtf:
hound, that looks like a wonderful harvest. you should be rolling around in nuggets soon enough :baggy: will there be a smoke report in the future?
very nice work on those girls big guy...it's gonna be a happy thanks giving
hope all is well.
-mgm
Thanks Mr GM, we are quite happy with her.......she was larger than even I expected (and I can expect a LOT :D) and feel pretty certain we've found the "piece" we've been missing in terms of our growing regimen and the issue of yield. :)
LOL weedy! Im goin for the elbow single plant starting in a few weeks. Hoping to be a SNLxNH:grrenthumb: You got me al excited about the buzz from it, lol...
:joint1:
I think she will do this for you without too much problem especially with your new lighting, C02 etc. Even I'm excited to see what C02 will do to her. :dance:Quote:

Rock I saw your latest stuff and it really DOES look good.....you've frightened me in the past with some of your "projects" but the photos I just looked in your log are great......nice, happy, healthy plants. Really good work on your part. :greenthumb:
And thanks for the thumbs up. We really are happy with Ike....she's the proof I needed to correct some of my growing errors. I have another SNL x NH....let me see if I can find a pic......
Hatch!! Thanks for stopping by my man.....hope your ganja is growing well for you. :)
Still struggling with the bud shots.
Taking FOREVER to dry because of our rainy weather these days. :wtf: Watching the shrinkage......groan.....But I'm denifitely still betting on 10 oz. We'll know in a couple days.
Seriously Carrie starts with TWICE the "bone structure" of Ike, has her own reciirculating system; has replaced Ike directly under the 400w and of COURSE HER own 24/7 running drip ring. Let's see what she does.
mmmmmmm..lookin luscious weedy
Damn Carrie is definitely gonna be a biggun...impressive Hounds'
She should take OFF! She's a big un already!
That's certainly what we're hoping for!! :DQuote:

Thanks alot you guys.....love the positive feedback. (except I'm still not sure about Rock.....:D)
Well two bits of news regarding my medical condition.
1. The latest cat scan can find NO sign of the original tumors in my chest...save for something they believe is a fluid filled liver cyst and not related to my cancer. In other words....the chemo is, and has been working EXCELLENTLY in my case. My doctor spoke to me today about the possibility of a break in my chemotherapy. And it's the very first time we have EVER heard him talk about a future as though I will actually have one. Apparently the numbers for such a great response are very small so we feel even MORE positive about it these days. :)
ROCK ON!!!!!!!
2. Mr Hound is taking me in for a blood transfusion tomorrow so I won't be around for the day. The anemia has gotten too low and is affecting my heart rate and since the insurance company won't pay for ProCrit injections this is the next step. I'm told I'll feel "like a whole new person" after they transfuse 2 units so it's really a good thing.
We talked to the doc today about "post chemo" plan. It feels amazing even to say those words. We will do the blood transfusion and then two more chemos (totaling six). Then he will do a PET scan (bit different from CAT scan and don't ask me how because we do not use that type of scan in animals.) The PET scan will tell him if there are any more cancer cells remaining in my body. There is actually a possiblity that the cancer will gone from my body completely. A CHANCE. I find this amazing.
We are not by ANY means talking "cure." But my doctors ARE beginning to use words like "remission" and what kind of treatments, exams etc they would do if I were to continue along the same line with the same excellent results we've been getting so far.
There is absolutely NO way to know if/when it will come back.....BUT.....just for today........we have kicked it's butt. And that feels pretty good. :) :)
This is fantastic!! for you to have had such a great response to the chemo. Hopefully with regular checkups you can force it back into remission even if it isn't permanently gone from your body.Quote:

Rock.....I'm still suspicious.....:D
Weeze...yes you told me so .....we hung on to your story......and still do....;)
Hatch.....you're just a nut.....but a fine nut indeed :D
Dai....thanks......you're right that it may never be gone......but at least these days I feel I have weapons to fight with and yes, we are VERY pleased with the news.
Shov.....After the transfusion, although I was still tired, I could both take a big HUGE gulp of air AND not faint at the same time. Seriously, what more could you ask for? :)
Last tidbit: We did NOT make 10oz on Ike. :(. Her final weight came out to 262 grams...9oz, 10 grams. :) So she IS a personal best () but missed ten by a few grams. I will have pics later. :)
Cancer-0 Weedhound-2
Fuckin go girl! Kick that shits ass!!!
Heh heh....thanks WT. Your statement about weed assisting cancer REALLY has me wondering if there was some sort of connection. And I still do wonder........There was an April 2007 study on cancers (NOT my type mind you) where mice were injected with large amounts of cannabis (and had already been injected with cancer cells) and they got approximately [B]50% more tumor shrinkage in the mice given the large amounts of cannabis during threatment.[B] Apparently the mice were stoned (stumbling around, munchies etc... ) so it would have to be a big dose.
AND.....from what I have read, certain compounds in cannabis can "block" certain receptors that have something to do with either the dividing cells or the blood supply to the tumor......don't have that one down 100%. I am simply PONTIFICATING here.........but I have wondered why....if say cannabis WERE part of the reason I responded so well to chemo.....why did it not prevent my tumors in the first place.
To further up on my stoned theory I came up with a couple thoughts. (that's amazing all by itself!! :D) They are 1. I eat/capsule several grams of cannabis daily. I do NOT smoke it......but I DO ingest it. ALOT as we all know. My point here is this.....I take big doses consistently. More than most people can smoke. I personally.....even if I had PERFECT lungs.......could not smoke the amount of cannabis daily that I can ingest when eating. So smoking it isn't enough of a dose......you must ingest a larger amount regularly.
2. My understanding is that THC itself is only one of many compounds in cannabis so perhaps it is NOT the cannaboid that blocks the receptors in question. (complete guess here) I know there have been many tests run with Marinol (pure thc) but what if that were NOT the actual cannaboid that was needed for blocking? What if it were one of the many OTHER cannaboids in the weed?
3. What if you need to use them in conjunction with standard chemo......they simply block certain receptors, which then allow the chemo meds to do their job more effectively. Does this at make sense to anyone?
Weezard if you read this....how much ganja do you ingest daily and how? Maybe I should start a thread asking..........
A million and one "what ifs"? But I find myself wondering..........all thoughts (even laughing at) welcome. :)
Glad I can help weedy!!!!!! I did A LOT of research on cannabis and cancer. Call me crazy, but I FULLY believe it works. The mice reference you made is one of the examples I read. Granny has a lot of good info on her "list" thread probably. Ill find a link for ya.
Determination and a lil THC wi beat the bricks off of conventional government "medicine".
Your proof....and an Inspiration to many weedt1
:joint1;
hey girl, I think you might have hit the nail on the head BOOM SMACK one shot....My Father in law used Marinol in the past for his M.S. it Didn't do as much for him as smoking...so What you've said about ingestion, I think is the big factor...Even though I'm not a doctor, I do play one on ....?....some things are better left unsaid....Quote:

D:thumbsup:
Aside from the issue of my own Swelled Head Syndrome.....the scene is fine. :D
I'm very sure we will be hearing more from the unconcious C.....but will take our ribbons and hold them loftily for now. We did the hard part.....we're damn well going to soak up the good parts as well. :)

Dollink, of course I'm reading this.:)
Now, take a big gulp of fresh air, and do not faint.;)
Yes, that does feel good.
That's why I turned down the chemo and the radiation after the surgery.
Well, to be accurate, the chemo is not an option, and the radiation can cause symptom that I won't even talk about in mixed company.
So, Ganja went from my bffl to my "clutching straw".
Always been a heavy smoker. 40+ years.
Nowadays, you could call me a weed hound.:D
I can't really give a number or amount, I have several grades of medication from my garden, including hash.
Basically, I start early with high grade buds and escalate from there. The phrase, "ripped to the tits" comes to mind.:stoned:
By 7 pm, I'm so baked, I can watch television!
Then I break out the good stuff!:stoned::stoned::stoned:
Basically, if I didn't grow, there's no way I could afford to do this.
Will it help? I sure as hell hope so.
If not, well, "the light was better over here", ya?:D
Love and aloha
(And thanks for the terrific siggy.)

defiantely not far fetched.

theres years of research that should have started decades ago.
