hey now! I only busted the heads offa two of 'em. <G>
I first noticed the trics growing in the last photo in this thread. I checked for smell that day and half or less had any odor yet. But when I checked for trics today there were plenty. Mostly starting on the shorter plants directly under the HPS. And the smell...was good. :)
Hey Shov....beautiful looking plants there, already so nice forming buds and trics...and they look so healthy too...:thumbsup:
If you keep all plants till the end, you gonna get a big yield for sure....you are not worried that it might gonna get a bit crowded??
So you are going for Serious Seed's AK-47?? That will be also an interesting grow...can't wait to see those too....
Keep it up....:thumbsup:
Looking Great Bro!!!!!:thumbsup:

I love it when they start to smell. Then you can kind of tell how good they are going to smoke and taste. Mmmm... Smells like nice hotel soap, kind of sweet and floral.
I have had this kind harvest at 56 days all the way to 80 days. That would make 29 days left. I will probably find some to harvest early and do a couple of plants every few days until done. Unless the trics start to go over 30% red.

Looking very nice there Shov.
Surprisingly it looks like you are going to have enough room for all your girls.:) You made it thru the strech so all they should be doing is putting on weight from here on out.
Very beuitful looking plants.

i wish i knew how to get my pants that bushy and healthy, but im on my first grow and i have lots to learn for sure.
great garden you have there!
Lookin good. Your plants appear to be in the same stage of flowering as mine. Although my grow is a lot smaller with only three plants. I wonder how close our harvests will be. The only problem I have is I don't have anything to smoke in the mean time. So I'm definitely anxious to see how my first grow turns out. I can hold off another month though. :jointsmile:

Photos from last weekend
Forty days into weed flowering and they are doing great. Some buds are 2" - 3" caliber. Some are getting crystals and smell nice, typical of my bubblegum strain, it smells like flourel soap from a fine hotel. MMmm.

Wow! I aspire to grow some soil plants anywhere near that nice. Great job Shov! :thumbsup:
I think they're doing well. I'd like to see them finish in three weeks. That would be 8 weeks of flower 5-1/2 weeks of vegging.
So, only a few more weeks, if I don't fuggit up I'm all set for a bit.
:yippee:
hahah i love your avatar it just made me crack up for some reason
lookin gorgeous shov!!!

yea man, they look great, hope my budz get that long and frosty :)
Those really ARE some nice long buds.
WOW!!!, ..........Awesome Canopy, The Bud's look to Be Right on Schedule, Love to see some Close Up's............Veg'ed for 5 1/2 week's, there going to really be some serious dense Cola's....Great Job....Can't wait to see what You are going to do next?????:pimp::pimp::pimp::pimp::pimp:
I decided early on to LST only on this grow. However, I snapped the tops off two on week six, one week before they flipped to 12-12.
Here is a photo of the two topped plants. As you can seen, one is more productive than the other, though both are healthy plants. The lower leaves have been getting used up and dropping off. The height of the shortest plant is 25"
[attachment=o189526]
Here's a photo of some of the taller plants. The tallest is thirty-three inches.
[attachment=o189527]
Lots of the buds are very long. It's hard to get the full length in a closeup photo.
[attachment=o189528]
Here are the two topped plants in front of some of the LSTs. I'd have to say that LST proved to be the best producer in this grow, by far!
[attachment=o189529]
The trics are still filling in on most of the buds. I tried to get a good shot for Hatch but they just don't comeout very well. The hairs and trics get bleached out by the flash, I guess.
Anyhow, a couple of weeks and I'll start picking. The wee topped plant will be the first to hang.
Irie,
Shov
Yeah Shov you poor thing.....can't get THE ENTIRE COLA in one shot......You'd better give those to me and I'll do something with them. :D
I had an emergency evacuation of a hermie in the pot. I was watching for it as it's in the odds but I'm lucky to have my bil to spot this one. I've looked at these buds so long that I slacked. Two stamen sites, one on a big branch one on a minor branch.
Plant is in low light/finish lighting and away from the rest of the grow, which looks trouble free for the moment. But no dought that a few seeds are present in this crop. Final results will be the lesson here.

shov,
I know your not supposed to talk to any "wizzlewazzles" but I have to compliment you on those beautiful buds you have going.
wish I could have been around earlier to help you with that overcrowding :jointsmile:
Best of luck with the rest of your grow! are you in the north or south of our nice little state? I am in the burlington area
I'm up north in Franklin Co.
Harvest really looks like it will be on time, eight weeks. That means this Saturday will be 8 weeks. I've been out of town (passed by Stinky's old town) and very busy with work and family crisis. I got to get checking trics asap. I'll try and get a pic posted of the hermie and the others, that appear to be uneffected, praise The Lord.

Here is the only hermie out of the dozen plants. As you can see, it has very little male parts. See the little yellow things? There is also some seed developement but not a lot. The buds are hard and dense, the smell is sweet and I'm sure the smoke will be great. The trics are some clear some cloudy and maybe 2% amber.
I flushed with a hose for half an hour yesterday and today it is put in darkness for a day and a half or two before I cut it down to dry. The other plants are kicking ass and will be done right on time on June 14th. The hermie should be dry and three weeks of curing time by July 4th, the "deadline". So, we'll have fresh medicine for the holiday.

Those are really well done.
In that group bath photo, can you tell which is the pale one? It looks like it is a heavier feeder than the others. Also, have you tried finishing them in slightly larger pots? Your yield looks like it is going to be fantastic already, but I'll bet you could get even more with more root space.
Stinky,
I had all the light I have in the area available and not an extra inch to spare. Next time I may have less plants. I should keep my eyes open for some buckets I can use to nest BOG style to provide more root space next grow.
The yellow plant I can't identify but it may be one of the cropped plants as it is a short specimen sitting in the front of the class. BTW, where you at (e-mail me)? I went up 91 Wed and was wondering if I might have passed by your way?
Thank you,
Sho
You did. I'm in the Valley. Somewhere between New Haven CT and Newport VT. :D
Shoot, I would definitely have loved to grab a bite!
Only one week to go. These plants have been flushed and now get water only until their end. A couple of different phenos, spear shaped colas where the calyxes actually spiral around the bud and the traditional Bubblegum odd shaped main cola. Also, one plant is going purps. Looking nice. Another week of trics and Game On!

they look AMZING shov....congrats...I have heard A LOT of good things about foxy seeds:thumbsup:
whiskeytango
holy moly. I want my buds to look like that.:D
Not a lot of "Foxy" in these plants actually. It was a bubblegum mother polinated by a hermie afghani x Foxy ( Afghani Dream x BOG Medley). All three of the strains I've been growing, Afghani, Foxy's Afghani Dream x BOG Medley and Bubblegum all can stand on their own.
SHov
yea man , Nice indeeeeed :)
I only hope mine come out looking half that good in the next week or so .
Are you harvesting at all coudy , or wait for a bit of amber on there.
Nice job :thumbsup:
JJ
edit ;
Purple one looks EXTRA pretty :jointsmile:
I'm harvesting at 56-60 days. lol
The trics are looking like they should be perfect by then. They are about 50/50 now with an od amber or two already.
PS Stinky,
I think that yellow plant is the one going purple.
looking delicious shovel, great work :) :thumbsup:
Not much going on, the hermie is cut and drying (well, trying. It's 100% RH today). The rest need a little while longer to pack on trics and ripen.
Here's how far my hand can go around this bud!
