I'm going to cut all the little tiny buds away from the stem and get the "wet weight". I'll be sure to post it just incase anyone is interested.

Ended up getting 225 Grams of wet budlet trim. I think this will come out to be about 50-60grams when dry. I'm going to throw them in a paper bag right now.
:thumbsup::thumbsup:Great Job My Brother,:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks. I'm sure this budlet trim will turn out to be some decent cannabutter.Quote:

The big plant was flushed yesterday with about 50 gallons of water and then stuck in my closet. It will sit in this closet for about a full week (I know only 3 days is needed but I want to try to let the plant wash out as much as possible.). After this I will chop/trim the colas and hang them up.
I have another plant that's about ready (Lady #2 I think). I'm going to begin flushing her with 15 gallons of water every 2-3 days. Initially I'm going to be doing a 30-40 gallon flush on her though. Get most of the nutes and salt out in the beginning and then let her slowly yellow on her own with some help from me by doing the flush every 2-3 days after that. She'll be getting flushed here in a few hours.
nice plants i bet your stoked!
or stoned, i should say  ;)
Wow....i cant tell u how good your mexi swag came out...a little longer then expected but well work the wait....keep up the great work....cant wait to see the final totals and pics:thumbsup:
cut down plant #5 yesterday. It's dried out quite a bit.. I have to say I feel I'm not going to be impressed with the yield on this plant. Maybe 2 oz at best. The bud is very airy. I have a feeling that this bud was probably still a long ways to being completed since it was pretty much the poster child for mexican sativas. Very thin finger like leaves, monsterous growth. It probably could've stayed in there for another 4 weeks but I needed the space to give the other 4 plants better light.
I'm making some butter right now with some of the lower buds I cut off a week or so ago.
I have so much trim here I bet I could make 2 whole sticks of *STRONG* cannabutter. Can't wait till it dry's out. It's in a paper sack in my closet right now. when you smell in the bag it smells so fragrant. I love it.
:hippy:
whatsup daihashi, thought i'd mention how good your plants look. hairy and coated in resin, just the way I like my buds.
:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Here is plant #5, Harvested and thrown in the mason jars for curing. She only yielded about 2 oz, but I probably harvested too early and also I put the plant through hell and back. I probably had it rootbound for 6 weeks at one point. I'm lucky she didn't go hermie on me.
My other plants are smaller and look like they're going to yield more than this one.
Again this is was grown from seeds out of a bag of mexican brick weed/shwag.
Picture 1: Close up bud shot.
Picture 2: All the buds loaded into my weighing bowl on the scale.
Picture 3: Weight on the scale with just the bowl on it
Picture 4: Weight of the scale with bowl + buds
Picture 5: Buds in their curing jars.
I should also note that I also got an ounce of budlets dry from this plant 2 weeks ago and I have about another 2 ounces of dry crystally trim and more budlets in a brown paper bag right now.
so 2 oz of buds and about another 3 oz in trim and budlets.
First batch of budlets made some incredible butter
lookin good D!!!

Amazing grow, Daihashi!
Very impressive:thumbsup:
Good job D!
looking good man
Thanks, I haven't updated on the rest of the plants in a while. Honestly they all look like they're doing nothing.Quote:

sigh.. They are taking way too long to flower and this time I am not going to repot them into 7 gallon containers like I did last time.
I just don't have the space.. and honestly I don't feel like investing more time into waiting for them to recover and start putting on mass again.
They are not rootbound bad but they are definitely throwing symptoms and trying to tell me they are not happy.
I may be chopping another plant this saturday or sunday. I'll try to post pictures then.. 2 of the remaining 4 plants can't hold up their own weight. Luckily my new cabinet fits 4 5 gallon plants very well and I can prop all the plants up in the corner to help support the weight.
New pictures soon. Promise
looking forward to it :) Nice supply by the way, looks like she was cured just right
man, for those of you wondering what the heck has happened to this thread.. well.
It seems that I hit the reset button once I moved the plants from their old cabinet that had many light leaks into a cabinet that I built that has been light-proofed.
The plants all started bursting out in white pistils like crazy. And are still putting on more and more white pistils. I suspect that I was having slow ripening due to the light leaks and now things are speeding up.
On another note all my plants are root bound again. I really don't have the space to upgrade them to bigger pots so they're just going to have to deal with it. I hate to do that to them but I have no choice.
I'm currently over 100 days into flower and getting pretty frustrated. I though keeping the lights off in my bedroom when the HID's went off would be enough to ensure that the plants were having their "Dark Period" but it seems that wasn't the case.
I'm a bit frustrated to say the least.
I understand sativa can go 16-18-20 weeks in flower. What kind are your plants?
most likely sativa as I'm sure it came from mexico however they look like a sativa/indica hybrid just by going on their leaves. Some more sativa than others.Quote:

daihashi! Dude, those are some pretty wicked looking buds for coming from some Mexican dirt weed. It's really amazing when you take an ordinary seed, and through good care produce some good buds. I look forward to seeing more pictures of these ladies, as the text is pretty intriguing.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to take down 3 of the ladies tonight. Stand by for details and pictures.
I need to just get on with it. I don't particularly enjoy wasting 109 days on flowering.
The last plant I'm going to leave flowering just because it is such a beast of a plant now.. I can't imagine what it will be like when most of the hairs are red.
Stay tuned.
Chopped Lady #3 today.
Here are some shots. I'm going to estimate 3 oz in buds or close to it and another 2oz in trim/budlets.
Just to give you a reference of the colas I'm holding out in front of the cabinet... those are 2x4's that make the frame of the cabinet you see in the picture.
The cola is almost as wide as a 2x4 and thicker across. The buds are very tight and compact
I have had SO much fun reading and looking at the BEAUTIFUL work you did.
I think this has been one of the BEST thread i have ever read. A++

Here are some pics of Lady #1 and Lady #3 harvested
Pic 1: Weight of Lady #3 on the scale. It was teetering between 75 and 76 grams.
Pic 2: Partial weight of Lady #1 on the scale
Pic 3: Remaining weight of Lady #1 on the scale
Pic 4: All the jars that were used to pack up the nugs. 9 full jars in all.
Total weight between the two ladies is 150grams. Or approx 5.4 oz.
I should note that this is bone dry weight. Nugs crumble if you press them ever so slightly. Very very dry weight.
This may seem good but given the flowering time I feel this should've been more. Oh well. That's what I get for messing around with crappy genetics.
Congrats on your harvest! Sorry that it doesn't meet your expectations yield wise, but its still 5.4oz, shit I'd do backflips if I could grow that much
bud looks mmmm mmmm tastey!
congrats!
I have 2 more plants that I need to hang/dry.
They aren't really ready but I'll probably do this tomorrow just so I can move forward with my next crop.
hey daihashi
looks like you will have plenty to smoke and I would have to say that mexican schwag is not bad genetics. many great plants come from bagseed and schwag thru proper care. but bagseed will cause frustration in harvesting times, some plants will need 100 days some will be ready early.
overall i think it was a great grow and look forward to your next grow. :)
daihashi, dude, that is a fine lookin' haul, and after smokin' many different strains, some mexican red hair ain't the worst thinig in the world. I just had 2 puffs of some mexican schwag, and I can't complain too much. Those 9 jars look pretty good. I wonder if an orange or lemon peel in the jar would soften them up a bit, and maybe funk with the flavor? Seems like I read a peel or a green leaf in the jar would give them a bit more moisture. Anyway, dude, I'm rambling - sorry to do it in your log, but I like getting comments in my log, so I wouldn't mind it so much.
Be good out there.
No worries. I like people interacting in my log and sharing ideas. It will only make my grow better the next time around. Who wouldn't want that? :thumbsup:Quote:

Funny you should reply. I'm actually in the middle of trimming my last plant. I totally forgot about it. I put it in the dark and forgot it was there.Quote:

lol so the drying process on this plant should be short and sweet.. then on to curing with the other 3 plants.
I'll post the weight from this plant#4 and plant #2 probably sunday.
The high is pretty nice.. A very nice thinking high.
That explains a lot.Quote:

Looking forward to growing some real genetics this next grow.
For all those interested.. Here's a cola off of plant #4.
It's not completely trimmed up yet but I got all the big leaves off.
Picture #1: picture of one of the cola's from plant #4 next the a pint mason jar.
Picture #2: Oh? Where did the mason jar go? Picture of the cola pressed up against the jar. Completely eclipsing the jar. It's about 3" wider than the jar.
I have a few cola's like this and a bunch more medium size ones. What's funny is that this plant was the runt of the bunch and I debated chopping it early into flower.
My oh my how this plant grew up and turned into a beautiful woman.
Nice grow....daihashi....:greenthumb:
 very nice d......
