Pic 5 is a sexy, healthy BlueMoonRocks.
I love the first pic i always think micro roots are so cool. Also thanks for the response about the ratings the negative rating on your thread was what sparked my interest. As i looked it was on almost everyone anyway its good your getting things started indoors cause looks like winters not ending anytime soon.

The reason I started so EARLY is that someone asked me to do a seed run for them so they could start on TIME in late April or early May. Part of this log will be selecting parents and doing a cross.

That's a banned member who apparently is still miffed at me for banning him. Time to get OFF the computer, put down the adult beverages, and get a life. Seeya, Slip... nice try.
Okay. The plants!
Under 24/0 light schedule, I GOT SEX!!!! So far two confirmed females, plants #8 and 10, which were actually 2 of my top picks for performance already. Yay. I chopped what was left of the from-seed mothers of those two down to just the lower growth, taking anything that looked big and strong enough for clones.
My next job is to get as many clones as possible going right away, so I'm going to keep ALL of these in veg and just keep hacking them up until I reach my goal.

Hey stinkyattic I know this is probably pretty funny but what is an IBL?
I've been sent some seeds and theyre apparently 'pure IBL's' but i have no idea what that means

Whats with the sexing at 24/0? Could you teach me this please?
-
Donkey Dick and VT local IBL Indoor/Outdoor 2008
Nothing really to teach- some strains will do it; some won't. This was only a partial surprise to me actually.
The Donkey Dick I suspect shows sex under 24/0 because of its Mighty Mite heritage, not the skunk side of its background. Mighty Mite is a strain that is kinda on the edge of what can be considered an autoflower. She will flower with less than 18 hours of light, instead of less than 12.

Sorry to intrude on this thread, but I see it alot when I browse through the new posts, and,Although the word Donkey Dick doesnt offend me,I find it a funny name for a plant,Does anyone know the origin of this?or how it came to be named "Donkey Dick"?

I've heard of people refer to the fat colas on random plants as Donkey Dicks before, but until I got wind of Stinky's grow log, I never knew it was actually a strain. Now there just needs to be a strain called 'Donkey Dick Elephantiasis', and I'll be sold.
-
Donkey Dick and VT local IBL Indoor/Outdoor 2008
Yup, it's the size of a cola that gets compared to the asinine phallus :wtf:

Ahhhhh,I see!
Still,I wonder who was the one to name it that.To look at something and name it that.
Thanks guys for explaining it to me.I appreciate the info.
Although I would like to sample this Donkey Dick Weed,I would feel weird telling someone,"I wish I could get my hands on some Donkey Dick."

Donkey Dick and VT local IBL Indoor/Outdoor 2008
Ahhh the puns in this grow abound, Stinky.
Speaking of which, are you trying to make any of those Donkey Dicks stretch so you can increase their yields? I've heard just rubbing them won't work. hehe
The pun was fully intended, but on a serious note, I usually try to get my indica doms. to stretch a little. How bout you?

nice work stinky:chainsaw: nice opportunity you have there to create some great plants. I cant wait to have the freedom (read: no need to work) to work the strain through breeding and be able to pick the best of the best to grow.
stinky, we are all truly indebted to you:lovestruck:

Oooooooooook then, and back to the log....Stink, do try to purposely let any of your indicas stretch to make em yield a bit better?

I get to delete posts because I am a moderator and it is my job to remove any discussion of other illegal activities besides growing and smoking of cannabis from this site. That includes smuggling, dealing, and selling or trading seeds on US soil, which you are on. I see that you are still on about looking for seed trades with Opie, which will get you banned if it keeps up, and I guess haven't read the forum rules yet....
Now please go read around and see that there is an entire forum section for feedback that doesn't happen to be MY GROW LOG.
All this crap is going to disappear shortly and I'm not exactly happy about your tirade. Stop calling me 'New England'.
Back to the plants again.
No more have shown sex yet, including the ones in flower. I'm getting excited actually- If the semi- autoflower trait which would have come from Mighty Mite is only appearing in a few individuals, it's making me think that there's still some selection to be done to shorten flower time.
Nothing much has happened except one power outage, lol. Yesterday I made 2 pounds of cannachocolate truffles, and another pound of ganache centers for the next batch. I also took down some White Rhino x Yeag's MTF yesterday, and it's the first chop since I started running Stacker/PurpleMaxx/Snowstorm/Whatever they're calling it this week, and all I can say is DIZZAM!!! Two thumbs up to the frosty shit. It makes the White strain look truly amazingly WHITE, and the other stuff is frostier in appearance than before as well.
Other grow reports coming in from the stuff kicking around here... Daddy's Girl is, despite early grumblings about yield, positively the most glorious smelling herb that anyone has stuck his nose in around here in quite some time. Testers are reporting though that it MUST be run as a SCROG or staked to prevent its heavy terminal buds from flopping over on the long flexible branches. Reap, ya did good... ;)
All right let's see... Indi-dom stretch... yup. There are a couple strains I run that simply CANNOT be flowered from a rooted clone. The BOG SourBubble BX3 is one of them. It doesn't stretch at ALL, and as a result yields these little short dense gnarly buds right down at the soil line, and while they are spectacular product, the yield is small and they always get covered with bits of perlite from being too low to the ground. So that's one that needs a good stretch under flouros for a while before flowering. It depends on strain and getting it right the first time I run something... lol... that's cause for celebration... IF it ever happens hee hee .. someday

mmmmm!......cannatruffles!!! you got some recipes floating around here stinky?....Im tired of brownies, cookies, and other baked goods. would LOVE that truffle recipe:eat:

p.s. do you know daddys girls parentage? kush line? diesel? small yeild and glorious scent are common traits for that family...I am jealous!!!

Mmm! Truffles!
If you already have a favorite chocolate ganache recipe, use it. You can find a ganache recipe in pretty much any complete cookbook and should familiarize yourself with the theory of ganaches in general so you don't have trouble. The cream/ chocolate ratio determines the density after cooling.
DG is Cinderella99 x (NL x G13) by IR Seeds. The yield isn't actually low; it's moderate- enough to consider running commercially actually. The trimming is EASY, buds have the braided or bubbly look, and she's hardy. Scent after cure is pineapple/gin and the scent whilst growing is grapefruit.

Donkey Dick and VT local IBL Indoor/Outdoor 2008
Really. The exhale/aftertaste actually is like a glass of gin-n-juice but pineapple, not orange. lol! And in a good way; I'm not usually partial to juniper flavor, with the exception of juniper berries in rabbit stew.
-
Donkey Dick and VT local IBL Indoor/Outdoor 2008
RABBIT STEW!! I feel faint....
What kind of cannabis is a good post rabbit-stew smoke in your opinion?
-
Donkey Dick and VT local IBL Indoor/Outdoor 2008
Um... Smoke BEFORE stew...
As for a 'pairing', I'm the LAST one to ask! To me, 'wine and cheese' can be anything from a nice Pinot Noir and some farmhouse cheddar, to a handle of Carlo Rossi and a big bag of Cheez Curls. So anything goes, lol. Smoke it if ya got it. Something strongly flavored, dark, and spicy would go well with game, and an Indi-dom to stick ya to the sofa long enough to digest it... Black Indica, Matanuska Thunderfuck... mmm
I hope you all understand I'm kidding- I'm totally NOT a pretentious asshole/potsnob.

Just about rabbit stew and cheese curls...( and NOT those generic cheese curls either...:D)

They are funny! I thought they were sisters when I first arrived here, judging from the way they would talk to each other. And, man, I've always wanted to try some MTF, but isn't the actual line only available in clones? And in Alaska? I've never bought the off-shoot MTF beans from any seed companies, because I've always heard they are nothing close to the original strain.
Stinky - Just out of curiosity, how exactly does a strain become semi-autoflowering? I always thought either it is, or it isn't... never knew there was an in-between!
-
Donkey Dick and VT local IBL Indoor/Outdoor 2008
Alaskans- 'The' MTF is/was clone-only but it's been passed around like a second-string cheerleader all over Alaska and has several local/regional seed lines that can be considered authentic. There's a bunch of info on it here if you hunt enough. It should have a creeper/long lasting stone, be effective against pain, smell like wild grapes and/or chocolate (it's a complex scent and lovely), and grow very well under lights. Other observed traits are purple striping on calyxes and partial albinism in some individuals. I've never bought the seed companies' supposed MTF beans either for that reason, but if you know any old hippies in Alaska, what they consider 'bagseed' can be pretty damn good shit. lol. There was an autoflower trait in some MTF back in the day but I don't know anything about its origins or why it isn't seen these days.
I am not an autoflower expert by any stretch. What you see in the Mighty Mite line is the trait of flowering under an 18/6 photoperiod rather than 12/12, so plants finish outdoors in early September, making them suitable for growth very far north where frost may hit by the end of the month, and snowstorms in October are not rare.

Donkey Dick and VT local IBL Indoor/Outdoor 2008
dead on the MTF....she said it all...lol

Donkey Dick and VT local IBL Indoor/Outdoor 2008
Thanks, Stinky, for the background info.
I actually DO know a hippie who was born and raised near Juneau, and moved right down the street from me a couple of years ago. He's a great guy, and LOVES recanting stories of his homegrown... but he can be a little loopy at times, and I've heard the same stories over & over again. Of course, I never say anything, he's one of those people that you'll allow to do that just because he's such a trip to hang around. It's funny, he'll sit around his house in the wintertime here, either with windows open or a/c running, wearing a pair of shorts and nothing else. Winters here don't get too terribly cold, but it's not exactly beach weather. Anyway, he was the first person to tell me about MTF several years ago, and ever since I've been wanting to try some of the real line. He doesn't know I grow, and just thinks I always have some good stuff on hand. Maybe next time I see him I'll ask if he has any beans lying around from back home. That'd be cooler than cool!
-
Donkey Dick and VT local IBL Indoor/Outdoor 2008
That's where mine came from. My darlin' The Yeag had his dad send me a bunch from the Kenai a couple years ago. I got some different phenos but all display specific MTF traits very well. The only real difference is plant structure, which varied widely among the plants from those beans, even though the buds all taste similar and have that knock you out creeper velvet sledgehammer feel. I chose a really nasty stocky male from the line to create my Rhinofuck seedline and have been happy with the way the dense buds and black grape scent of the MTF got passed to the offspring. Combined with the copious visible resin production of the White Rhino, it's a nice strain. The pure Alaskan stuff I run doesn't have a very frosty look to it, but hits harder than anything else in my garden, even though one pheno has about the bag appeal of Beasters, AFTER they've been keifed off, hahaha!

Sn, not sure if you're looking for a source for the MTF; if so, seedbanks really don't seem to have an acceptable substitute yet. For other stuff, I've been happy with seedboutique, cannaseur, and a private breeder. I'll send you some info.

Hey hello to everyone...
Hey Stink what do you think is a great yielder that flowers quite fast for indoor cultivation. I have so much shit I've been going through. it takes maybe 1 seed or 100 to get the perfect strain to pump out. I've been on a bad strech now... I need help I like fluffy light colored strong strong weed. Better the THC content the better for me willing to sacrafice Yields for quick turn around I tryed a site you had recomended seedboutique
but with all those strains I just figured maybe you know of a good one to choose from them... Thanks alot for all your posts
