well, i dunno bout that either.
to be honest, their mom did the same exact thing.
yeah, i know, a few ppl asked bout that coloring, but, seemed to grow fine.
beats the crap outta me:wtf:
kinda weird stripes goin up the main stalk sometimes too. it comes n goes.
not all of em get dark, but, here's something else i noticed:
i re-tied them a couple weeks ago, and when i moved the yarn, there was green underneath. kinda like wearing a watch and going to the beach.
when i re-tied her, a few days later that spot was darker, like a tan.
some kinda photo-reactive phenomenon.
My thais like to tan???:wtf:
They can be due to either genetics OR a deficiency I believe. It's easy to tell the difference imo because one has a true purple look...dark (genetics) and the (potassium??? not positive) has a definite reddish tint to the stem....more like a fuschia if you will buy that.
One you've seen the difference you'll know. Having said as much.....I DO think he's got a fair N def going on there so it wouldn't surprise me if he also has a K def as well.
hmmm, think so?
the soil is that MG stuff, cut with old soil recycled from the previous grow.
only thing i can really think to do, is maybe add a lil more Big Bloom next watering. I have been going light so as not to burn em up:wtf:
or, maybe i should check my runnoff pH:wtf:
ok, well, next watering is coming up in a couple days.
i think i have one of those lame soil pH kits here somewhere.
and i got a water pH kit for a pool here somewhere, and it actually has the number readings on it.
I don't know.....I'm just ragging on you. It's what I'm here for. :D
WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO UPDATE THIS LOG???!!!:wtf:
u r absolutely rite, sorry for the delay.;)
end of week 10 for Ping n Pong.
looks like about another 6 weeks.:wtf:
they smell great and look like they r sugar dipped.
Thrichs on top of trichs, still clear. I'll wait this time.
i think the Max-FX helped out on that.
damm thais just take f o r e v e r:wtf:
2 quik pix ;)
hey WH, u get my email?
oh yeah, approx 1.5-2 ft tall
No email.......I have dial up you know.....anything gets dropped it gets dropped there first.....
Ping and Pong look good. Those fuckers ARE taking forever.....10 weeks with a NORMAL strain you'd be puffing right now. Sigh....what a shame that they DO take so damn long.
How's the weedhounds' and the clones doing?
I see my normal plants taking that long. Maybe some just don't like to turn amber, they will die with clear tricomes.
Shovelhambone
like wooow. I rate this grow a score of a high 10.
thanks for the posts folks.
WH- email resent.
oh, crap, i just realized ur on dialup.
i may have to shrink the pics i sent u.
Russians are BOOMIN! bushy as hell.
likely moving upstairs in a week.
aaaaand, i germed 3 of those crazy-red-nug beans i got a few months ago.
yeah, all 3 popped, LOL!
ways im lookin now,
Ping n Pong finish about Feb 1
the russians should be a week or 2 later.
and the reds will remain to be seen.
ill start a new log for the russians soon as i move them to flwr.
hmmm, wonder what i should do next???:wtf:
funny how u could compare anything i do to "normal":wtf:Quote:

Sorry to hear about the nerwest clones. Seriously though......between the original and the clones it seems you've been flowering something FOREVER! Guess that's what I mean about a NORMAL strain. But you're right......normal is as normal does (Forest Gump ;))
How about some photos of the weedhounds when you get a chance?
ur rite, does seem like i been flowerin for months!
but, actually, i'm tryin to figure out schedules so i can always have somethin in progress.;)
and now, in a recurring cameo role in this thread, and by request, the Blue Russians and the lil red sprouts too:thumbsup:
the russians are entering week 10 of veg with 2 tippings.
the red sprouts are 1 week old.
Those REALLY look good Rock. Short, tight, bushy and healthy looking. :) Good work.
I REALLY think you'll like the buzz off those russians. I'm dying to grow a few myself but my friend who grew a bunch outside this last summer still has some and I quite enjoy the buzz so that's been holding me over with them so far. ;)
ok folks, mid-week 13
prolly another 3-4 weeks to go.
sample clipped yesterday for trich inspect and bioassy.
dismal results.:wtf:
bizillions of clear trichs, just barely turnin cloudy:(
virtually all leaf has yellowed and fallen off.
actually, there was so much yellowin goin on lately, i coulda swore some nugs got lil yellow spots, but that was the micro leafs yellowin out.
basically its like 12-14 sticks with nugs.
all the sticks are tween 10-12 inches long.
maybe about 30-40 g's by my eye estimate.
i have stopped nutes (bigbloom) and will finish out with water only.
at this point i'm like,,,wtf???:wtf:
ive come this far that i dont care how long they take to finish, i'l wait, but seriously doubt ill ever consider this strain again.
so, i decide to clip a sample for trich inspect and bioassy today.
and what do my amazed eyes see?????????????:wtf:
a gift or an extension of my personal curse?????:wtf:
Is that you just getting the Thai's to harvest now?
Shit I thought you had long ago moved on to the Blue Russians. Bit of a double edged gift that seed you have. Do you have the patience to go through this grow again.
ok folks, need a lil reassurance here.
i know these pics arent the greatest, but u have no idea the contraptions i needed to assemble to get these shots.
is THIS what I've been waiting roughly 25 weeks to see?
this is the end of week 15 flwr.
Your thai grew you a dime??? Mine throws quarters. :D
So is that your entire harvest right there? :S2:
hmmmmm, nice one lil miss wizeazz:thumbsup::wtf:
are those ambers?
is that what i been waiting to see?
i know the pix r kinda crappy, but thats the best i could do.
it looks like dark heads on the trichs,
yes, there are only a few so far.
within the past week, the sugary coating has started to look 'whiter' to the naked eye, so i chose one of those as a sample for inspection.
well, am i almost finally there???
Definitely looks like some ambers running around to me.
Thanks Weedhound,:D
you da chit!
i guess i'll give em about another 10 days or so, woohoo!
ok, so, basically, i'm completely f'n sick of lookin at these stupid leafless things for what seems like the past 100 weeks.
the stats,
10 weeks as struggling clones in veg.
16 weeks in flower, the past 6 or so weeks they have been virtually leafless due to a week of cold nites where it may have been as cold as 60-65F, which i'm sure is why they threw all remaining leaf on the ground.
do the math with me folks, that 6 months.
kids, dont try this at home unless u have a large supply of f'n patience.
i have been stealing sticks for the past week or 2, do to my personal needs and the fact that my bipolar brain has been spikin on the negative side the last week.
in case u havent figured out where this is going,,,,,,
Ping and Pong have been chopped.
its doin the job. i concede the point that if 'properly' dried n cured would be better, but, i got some strong and immediate needs these days.
if i can actually save some to properly cured, i will submit a proper smoke report.
other than that, i will let this long sad story die.
