I'm sorry to be the one to break it to you, but the bible's a fictional book.
Even still, though, everything passes. You aren't your offspring. You don't live through them, you just share pieces of dna. You're dead in the ground, slowly returning to the earth. Everything dies eventually, otherwise it wasn't truly ever "alive" in the first place.
