I wouldn't use the big services in NYC, because they're being watched by the police. You're much safer using a smaller, preferably one-person, operation. They busted a large NYC-based delivery service called CartoonNetwork in Nov. 2005, and probably have the names and addresses of all of the thousands of customers as well. The leaders of that outfit were charged with money laundering, in addition to many other offences.
As far as Washington Square Park, that place has had a bad rep since the sixties.
The ex-Dell pitchman ("Dude, you're getting a Dell") got busted in 2003 while buying weed on the Lower East Side of NYC. He probably got off with a fine, but lost his job with the computer giant.
