VERY important question, need feedback ASAP!
ok, so i just found a place to get revolution online. it says that it takes 4-10 business days to be delivered to the states. that seems like a long time to watch jakson go through this. and even then, i assume it will take a bit of time for it to start working. the worst part is his hind legs, and this stuff has to be applied between the shoulder blades. i want to just go ahead with the revolution, because it seems a little less harsh on the dog, but i need some way to calm him down and not scratch so much. he's getting to the point that he's whimpering all the time when he scratches now, and i've tried my best to keep him occupied so he won't do it so much. this is exhausting!

i'm not quite sure if this recipe will work mange, but it works wonders on my dog's seasonal dandruff:
1. shampoo your dog with coal tar shampoo, you can get this at any pet supply store. be sure to work into a good lather and SCRUB!
2. rinse completely, let your dog drip-dry for a few minutes
3. dilute 3 parts listerine/sea breeze/ anything antiseptic to 1 part water. work into your dogs fur, making sure it coats the skin. let stand for about a minute
4. rinse well
5. tar shampoo one more time if necessary
6. let your dog drip-dry. dont use a dryer, it will dry his skin out.

i think i'm going to need something a little stronger, bizzle. thank you for the input though.
i called the vet today and asked them about this stuff i bought. all they said was "you should really take him to a professional."
so i'm like, "well, as i told you already, i can't afford a vet... so what i'm asking you is if there will be any adverse side effects from using this stuff on my dog"
that bitch couldn't even give me a straight answer. she just said that if i didn't use it correctly, it could be very dangerous to the dog's health. NO SHIT! if i don't find something soon, i'm going to have to just cross my fingers and give it a try. i hate watching this little guy go through this shit. we plan on COMPLETELY vacuuming the ENTIRE house, furniture, stairs, carpet, tile, etc... washing ALL of our clothes in hot water, and i'm going to spray a borax/water/peroxide mixture onto the carpets tonight. i was going to treat the dog again while doing all this, as well as myself and my fiance. hopefully, that'll knock a huge dent in the mite population here. i sure fucking hope so.

oh, skink... i looked around for revolution online. only place i found it was places outside of the states.. where you could order it online. everywhere here (US) that i've found it online, you have to have prescription. even on the sites outside of the states it says to check for laws, etc before ordering from the US. would i get in trouble or waste my time trying to order online then?

Neutrogena also makes a coal tar shampoo. It's in the dandruff section of any pharmacy. It's called T-Gel. Worth a shot to keep the itching down.
