Day 32 of 12/12
Hello There...
I have read your lOg and its awsome. I am a new grower and plan to do small plants like you guys are doing. I a question...
When you vegged your plant did you give it only water or any ferts? If so how Misting? or in the soil only?
And one more thing If I veg for say 2 weeks from a seedling or clone. how big could I expect my plant to be once flowering is complete. You see I only have about 2.5 feet in my growing and flowering box. So basically I kinda need to know how soon I should start FLowering to be sure my plants stay under the light. 12 inches? 5 inches?
I have a 96W T5 light 4 2ft bulbs 2000 lummes each 2 red 2 white. Here is a pic of what I have started.
My bigger plants are screwed. The person at the head shop told me to always give nutes in water right from seedling. Its stunted these guys growth and made them unhealthy. I later found a Graden shop and got good info and start seedlings again. I am hopeing to get a mother out of these. If I don't kill them first by my lack of knowledge. I am learning and thats half the battle.
Any help with the top questions would be awsome. Like sizing before flowering and watering that small of a plant.
thanks kindly

Day 32 of 12/12
Heres the Mess I started. The Green ones I have only Given water and they are looking good. they are about 20 days old.
They grow pretty stubby the light is about 5 inches away. I think stubby is good though right? More compact Bud?

Day 32 of 12/12
BigBud, Thanks man i appreciate your comments!! I'm happy about all this positive feedback. I am going to go see if i can find a good fert with alot of Phosphorus tomorrow. I will do what you said about the 1/4 dosage and the update will be posted ina few days.
kdspecial, We are in a similar situation because i cant let her get too big either. I read alot about LST and SCRoG methods and kinda used both to end up where i am. I basically grew the entire plant sideways exposing all the flowers to light. I have not seen many people do this but it seems to be working perfectly for me.
I vegged for 10 days after sprout and then quickly switched to 12/12. She started showing flowers about 7-9 days after that and has been growing since for about 20-25 days. I would go easy on the ferts with the young plants for sure.
If your limited on height, consider growing like me. :D
If you have any questions i'll be happy to guide you.
Happy growing.

Day 32 of 12/12
BigBud, your driving and posting at the same time?? thats multi-tasking! Do you have Verizon's All-Over Network?
Grr I'm a bit jealous! Your plants look really nice and have more trichomes than mine. But i noticed that more of your hairs are turning brown than mine so i guess that means its a bit more mature... plus i just remebered your indica will mature much quicker than my slut-iva...
Sorry i'm stoned... rippin the pHx.

Day 32 of 12/12
Thanks for any help. So is it that a plant may about double in size once it starts flowering? Is that a fair estimate?
thanks for all the help guys... Yeah watering is a trickey thing. My pots stay wet at the bottom of them for so long. Should I see water comming out of the pot everytime I water or only every so often?
Like say have drain out once a week? if watering 3 times a week?

Day 32 of 12/12
kdspecial, i would definately let your plants drink up ALL the water before the next watering. When you do water, hold your plants over the sink and flood the pot, allowing all the excess water to drain from the bottom. This should be done everytime you water.
