Full scale war in the Middle East?

Go Isreal. Palastine's just pissed off because mohammed told them to be. As a matter of fact, Muslims want to dominate the world, and kill every non-muslim along the way -or make them pay a special tax and live as scumb-class citizens- (I didn't make that up it's all over the Qur'an)

I say we need to stop trying to be so fucking "politically Correct" and declare war against the real tyrant here, which is Islam. And as far as us getting pulled out of Iraq, whoever thought that would ever happen in our lifetime is just being foolish. I mean, look at Japan and Germany, we still have Military bases and tons of troops in both but we're never going to budge are we?

Boo frickin hoo! I am christian and have to deal with tons of stuff that defames the lord on an almost daily basis. Such as jesus fighting santa clause on south park. I'm not a Muslim, and I agree that those pictures are very offensive, VeeGee. You have my sincerest reassurance that the person who posted those pictures and wrote that message does not speak for intelligent, sensitive Americans.

You may say you don't hate Muslims, American Terrorist, but your visuals--and your impulse control in posting images like that--suggest otherwise.

The more I think about the matter of these pictures, the more I begin thinking of the two apparently anti-Semitic-intended Nazi images that Dante Alighieri recently posted on the main board. Actually, it was a single image, and he buried it in a link and then made a textual Nazi reference, too.

This is the current events board and not the politics forum. If we're really going to be completely fair and hold everyone to the standard of being tolerant of all races and religions, are we going to let the poster of these five very blatantly inflammatory pictures slide when we didn't tolerate a single link-buried image and textual reference that was done two days ago by Dante Alighieri? Think about that, P4B. I think it's a question worth pondering.

Birdgirl I agree with ya that pics like that are COMPLETELY out of line. Also, this thread and others that were in the current events are now in politics for good reason.

I did what I could with the pics but I'm not going to do the ban thing because this was more/less a political debate and even though it's not right, and people SHOULD have enough consideration NOT to post this crap, it seems to be the norm in here now. I've been debating on moving this stuff for a while now and it more less come to a head.

I really don't understand some of these folk in here. It's not a debate, it's a fuckin' hate fest! Damn Muslims.....Israel has no right to exist.......Bush is Hitler.....and people wonder why there are wars..LOL. I was debating an issue in here the other day and someone compared the "neo-cons" to Al-Quada....Unreal! Can't even get rid of the hate in a marijuana site full of stoners, how the hell do you think you'll get rid of it with a bunch of straight up tight politicians?

Ever here of people fucking things up for themselves? If this type of crap keeps on going on in here, eventually the rules WILL tighten up. This isn't really a fight over two kidnapped soldiers. That's Israel's excuse to launch major offensives against their enemies. But probably none of this would have happened if Iran hadn't pushed the "attack Israel and get the U.S. off our backs" button.

Israel's in a tough position here. If they just let extremist groups kidnap their soldiers and lob missiles into their cities, their citizens get pissed, and their enemies get bolder and the attacks on them get worse. So they *have* to do something. And since the Lebanese government has basically zero control over the extremists running amok in their country, Israel can't just ask politely if the Lebanese government would please keep people inside their country from lobbing missiles and staging attacks from their territory - the Lebanese government can't do anything about it.

Put yourself in the position of the Israelis. Let's say some extremists in Mexico start staging attacks into U.S. territory and kidnapping and killing people, and lobbing missiles at our southern cities. We ask the Mexican government to make these people stop doing it, but they say (and it's true) that there's nothing they can do. Do you think the U.S. would just shrug it off, and say, "Okay, sorry you can't do anything about it, so we'll just be peaceful and watch the missiles blow up our cities, no big deal, we have other cities." Hell no, that wouldn't happen; the U.S. would go kick some ass and either make the attacks stop, or eradicate the attackers entirely.

Israel is shit without the U.S. I wish we would abandon the sorry fuckers and let them have to fight for themselves instead of hiding behind Uncle Sam and acting all high and mighty. Fuckers need to be taught some humility.
