because your body has no way of getting the THC in to your blood stream when you just eat a nugget of weed, it just goes into your stomach and you digest it. THC needs some type of "carrier" like alcohol or fat.

oh ok, just I thought by weed being soluble in alcohol, meant that the weed was able to be dissolved in alcohol.

Exactly...it's all about basic chemistry. I hate it when people tell me they ate a fresh bud and got stoned. Maybe they did in virtue of the placebo effect, but chemically that would be very difficult.

Surely Your body would digest weed and absorb the THC (UNLESS the stomach acid destroys the THC....i only just though of that) but still surly some THC would be absorbed into the body before it reached the stomach?

My friend caught himself on fire once and burned off all his hair. He was lucky though since he didn't have any long-lasting scarring or anything...but I knew a Russian guy who cooked himself better bad once. However, I should say that both of these people were already under the influence when they were attempting to make it. HAHAHA! :stoned:

I think if I did give it a go I would do it outside with camping stove.

Don't use a camping stove unless it's a gas one where you can control the flame. I wouldn't attempt this using charcoal or anything 1) because you can't really control the heat, and 2) because some debris could fly into the charcoal or from the charcoal and hit the vapors from the alcohol and ignite into a massive fireball, resulting in not only personal injury but also the loss of your product. :(
