FUCKING HELL

I grew up on Mr. Rogers, too, although he wasn't on PBS till I was well into elementary school. He's the best. So calm and gentle and sweet in the way he talked to kids. My son loved him, too. I'm sorry he's no longer living.

I figure anyone who knew Mr. Rogers and knew his background just probably was able to dismiss that "sniper" story and not even dignify it with a response. He was such a peace-loving type that, if he or his family ever heard that rumor, they probably would have just laughed it off.

First of all I donâ??t think that the â??sniperâ?� story was such unbelievable story. And I donâ??t think that those who would believe such a thing are somehow unintelligent as you make it sound. That would suggest that snipers are akin to monsters. I think snipers are totally capable of being good, decent, and loving people. Their just people doing their dutyâ?¦a duty that most Americans want to pretend doesnâ??t happen as they sleep safely in their comfy beds at night. And truth be told people who die as a result of a sniper shot die more humanely than the majority of the people on the planet.

If he was your dad would you laugh it off. I wouldnâ??t.

I was happy to find out that it wasnâ??t true because that would mean that he didnâ??t have to live his life with another mans death on his conscience regardless of the rightness or wrongness of the act.
