true, they didn't fight for land, usually, but they sure did fight for horses (plains indians after horses were introduced) and slaves.

yeah, they had a much better grasp (for the most part) on sustainable development and decision-making, but they still rarely lived past forty and had plenty of sickness and strife.

From what I've heard, before the Europeans reached the Americas, for one, they lived until about 80 years old.

i won't deny you heard that, and i won't deny that there weren't some cases of longer-than-usual longevity, but those would have been rare cases.
the industrialized world has just recently begun seeing life spans reaching into the eighties, and by recently i mean the past 100 years or so.

Yeah that would be nice, I want it so bad that if you would have to die before it happens I'd kill my self to get to a place like that.
