I dunno. i thought that movie kinda sucks. I mean, theres a guy in a wheel chair, of course hes gonna get killed lol. Its not very long either, they get attacked by some hobbo, then some of them start disapearing as they get hacked to death, then some girl runs around screaming for half an hour. Then she gets on a truck and starts laughin as she escapes.... Its just too.... simple.Quote:

Oldboy is my favorite movie. It's a South Korean flick about some dude who is kidnapped and put in a solitary prison without knowing who why how and is stuck there for 15 years going crazy and screaming and crying for vengeance against who put him in prison.
After 15 yrs, he is suddenly released on a rooftop with a cell phone and money and suit. He has 5 days to find out who imprisoned him and take revenge.
Most ultimate movie with great acting, great script, and amazing scenes.
People argue that America has Fight Club and Korea has Oldboy.
Another funny thing, Fight Club was my favorite movie until I saw Oldboy.
Seriously though. This director is new: Park Chan Wook.
Oldboy is a revolutionary film that will inspire many filmmakers (including me).
