We all saw the falling out Bush had with his social security plan. Now I'll be the first to admit that Kerry was a horrible Democratic candidate.. but these days, I just can't see how anyone can still stick up for George Bush, except for this ultra right-wing faithfuls. Even guys in his own party are skeptical to have a photp-op event with Bush because of such the low numbers he's getting. Yeah, Bush attacked, as you call, "terrorist states.. " But what happened to Osama? If we wanted to attack terrorist states, then we would go after Saudi Arabia. Oh no, wait... we're allies and deep in each others pockets with oil money. Hmmm... But Saudi Arabia is FULL of terrorists.
What happened to WMDs? Oh, now that those can't be found, we'll change our reasons to going to war to 'liberating the Iraqi people.' Bullshit. You really think that this government gives a shit about what went on in Iraq? Take for instance the genocide in Rwanda back in 1994 (under pres. Clinton, so you don't have to use the rebuttle that I'm a democratic apologist.).. The United States, as well as the whole world knew what was going on there, but no one did anything about it. No one would even USE the word genocide because they were afraid saying that would mean that's an obligation to act. So why are we in Iraq? Just to take out an evil dictator? I think it's more than that.. While the U.S. is the world's superpower, we need to stop playing world police. Listen, I'm all for finding the terrorists, but just bombing Iraq isn't going to help. I mean, what good has come out of this Iraq war? (Other than huge no-contract bids for Halliburton?) Bush has gotten us into a quagmire in Iraq without any exit strategy. He has tried to push democracy on states that are not ready for it.. Heck, will those states ever have a successful democracy, who knows?
I think you're one of the first people I've heard say Bush has done a good job in foreign policy..
