Day 16 flowering.
Looking real good!:D
Just kinda looking at some of the other posts around here, I stumbled across this message that I had posted to help someone else with germination problems. Opening it back up and reading it now, days and days later... I realized its a fairly good post and decided to repost it here as well to help others.
These web sites, posts, bbs, books, you name it.... have been so helpful getting to this point, and I am grateful and wish to give back to the community, and pay it foreward so to speak. The one thing that I've learned on this great growing adventure though, no amount of knowledge actually holds weight vs sheer experience.
I have no problem in admitting I'm still by far a rookie. But I grow good bud so I dont care. Anyway, w/o further adue................
I've tried various methods of germinating. This works best for me. Me. To each their own. Humidity dome, peate pelletes, 2 26w warm spectrum cfls for initial light + warmth.
Soak peate pellet's till fully expanded. Take a small poker, push seed pointy side to the left or right (you want the taproot to grow out, then down so it pushes the seed upwards to break the surface. straight down is bad.) aprox 1/4 - 1/2 inch into the peate pellet. Keep a little excess runoff water in the bottom of the humidity dome, and mist the lid of the humidity dome daily. When water evaoprates from the dome lid, mist again.
Couple days after cotelydons (sp? i cant spell for shit) show, remove lid. If you need to, you can carefully carefully carefully help remove any shell that refuses to break away on its own.
Keep peate pellets moist, mist seedlings daily till roots appear. Transplant to pots (can use in hydro. peate will break away over time. you will get peate in your water supply as it breaks down so make sure this doesnt compromise your airation system/pump.)
They just dont stop!? They're filling my cab <3 I had to take the heat sheild down... Been pruing away whatever gets too close to the light, and moving a growth away to go up beside the light! They're the budding tops too I'mma let em go, trim anything that gets to close to the ehxaust vents... Trimmings are quite nice, im rather high at the moment on 3 day old clippin's. Im thinking... the sativa in her means imma have to let this one go a lil longer than 8 weeks... but with a FULL cabinet, I believe the results will be nice :)
I dont think im growing "plants" anymore so much as mini bushes :p
Day 21 flowering (week 3 mark).
what size of pots are you using?
bonghitboy420 in your first set of pics tell me how you did that to your plant
Plants germ'd in standard peate pellets in a humidity dome purchased from home depot's garden section. Seedlings were moved to 4" pots. Usually, I then go to 6" pots then 10" pots, but I let the plants go longer than normal in the 4" pots to form a nice root ball (almost root bound actually) then went straight to the 10" pots this time. Plants are being fed a squirt/mister bottle full of water ( 1/4 gallon ) w/ 1/2 tsp dyna bloom 3/12/5 hydro/soil nutes DAILY. No burns, just plumbing up. This strain apparently is hungry and can take it... So I'm feeding it to her... been feeding her daily now for the past week :) When and if she starts showing signs of burns, ill cut back to just water. :)Quote:

Aprox 1 mo into flower, prune lower budsites aprox 3-4 inches up from main stem. Use string to spread branches apart some. All growth is now focused to the remaining budsites on the few branches left. Called pruning for yeild. Hope it helps :)Quote:

It was fighting and stretching too damn much and trying to strangle out the other plant... and not budding as well as the other plant. I rather have 1 nice plant ya know... couldnt let this one hinder the others growth when the other plant was looking better anyway. (tho i smokes this schwag herb and it was good i will admit)
Pic 2..... Now I LST her and open her up to fill the space!!!
In pic 3, youll see the budsites on teh plant I kept alive. See... too nice for day 23 to let the other one choke her out especially when the other one didnt have hardly any budding going on.
And finally, after seeing these plants go... I decided to grow this strain again, this time w/ a lil now i know a lil more what to expect with it... I have "high" hopes for this plant.
And now, day 33 flower! This catches us up nicely. Look at how much shes's filled out since the other plant's been taken out of the picture. Dramatic difference from day 23 to day 33. Pic 1
Pic 2 is just one of the pretty colas. I know I know, leaves are a lil curly but this branch rests up on the door cover so whatever. Shes healthy I promise :p
See, pic 3... healthy yummy bud... mmm... Im finding it hard to believe shes still got like a month to go. Look at the trich's!?! This is a lower bud too! Anyway, I think its a pretty budshot none-the-less. So perdy.
