Different story from what? It's in the Bible. It's all the same book. And I still haven't seen any evidence that there even was such a person named Moses, or that there ever were enslaved Jews in Egypt who then wandered around in the desert for 40 years (you'd think they'd have left some archeological evidence somewhere).
How can anyone say that the Bible is a book of peace, when it is filled with such heinous expressions of pure hatred and intolerance? I really don't see how it could possibly be construed as a message of peace, when the deity it describes is such an asshole to everybody who disagrees with him. Here are just some of the HUNDREDS OF VERSES illustrating this:
To start out, there's the clear admission by Jesus that his mission is actually to bring conflict and war to the Earth:
And anyone who forgets about God will be torn to pieces:Quote:

Some loving God that is.Quote:

I will never become a Christian because I could never subscribe to an ideology that condones genocide and murder, or an ideology that says the genocidal child-murdering dictator of the universe is somehow all-loving and cares about you. Peace will never come to Earth until Christianity and all other doctrines of hatred are abandoned.Quote:
