I am 17 by the way, but I was under the impression that the age of consent being 16 meant that 16 year olds could consent to sex even with older partners.

Where are you getting 16 as being the age of consent.

I thought 14 was the age of consent, though I'm just going by vague memories of some bullshit sexual harassment seminar from highschool.
