Thanks amsterdam, that was just the jolt I needed. Hempity almost pulled me back into that liberal tree-hugging frame of mind where I start to think that maybe 300 years of sustained burning of hydrocarbons may have affected our climate, that maybe glaciers are actually receding, that maybe damming up the rivers held back so much silt that the delta shrank that would have absorbed some of the hurricaneâ??s energy, that draining the swamps and wetlands actually had something to do with the amount of flooding in New Orleans, that maybe something was different this time because New Orleans has been around a long time without this level of catastrophe, that maybe there are a lot of complicating factors.

Yup, showing Adrianna getting into her SUV reminded me that the best thing to do is to Keep It Simple, Stupid, and Iâ??ll be a much happier citizen. I need to remember - donâ??t think about all those other factors.
