i still go out and shit like that, just always gotta have weed!!!
I've quit for a year or more at a time, but I always feel the siren call, then get a deep-seated wanting and desire for weed. And find a way to get hold of some.
I just got married to a great woman.... The girl of my dreams actually. We hooked up again 13 years after we were originally together. I've not smoked for almost six months, but I got nearly 1/4 OZ of some killer shit just sitting in the closet. I just put the shit away... reluctant to throw it away because it is like $100 worth of smoke... and reluctant, well just because.
Now six months later, I'm feeling the call again and can feel that psychological addiction (I guess) tugging at that place that makes me think I need to smoke. Makes me want it.
I want to throw the shit away, but I KNOW myself and know that I will still want to and afraid that it'll be worse if it's not there. (I know nobody around here for supply) But it's important to me not to do it. We are going to have kids and I want the sperm to be nice and healthy and if somehow I get busted that would probably fuck up things with her son and my job, my career.
Well I'm just getting shit off my chest here. We just talked about it and she basically said I could (If I had to) but know that's she'd be disappointed. Not because she disapproves of it as a recreational drug but because of the legal problems, possible job-loss problems and possible healthy sperm issues. So I know I could and she'd be mostly cool, but I also feel that I'd be letting myself down. Hell I've gone nearly six months. Seems like a cakewalk, but it's still fucking hard.
Well I know this isn't marijuana anonymous, but I appreciate the ear getting this out.
No healthy sperm issues with marijuana, more government fed bullshit regarding the effects of cannabis. So don't worry about that, if you've done 6 months without then i wouldn't worry about psychological addiction.
As for legal issues, if you smoke in the privacy of your own home there won't be any. Who would ever know?
Job issues is the only thing i'd worry about if i were you i know that in America you get drug tested for jobs which seems like a violation of civil liberties to me. Then again there are plenty of products and methods which void drug testing these days.
As for feeling personally let down, do you drink alcohol or smoke cigs? If so you must appreciate that both have MUCH bigger health risks than cannabis which has very little if ANY at all.
The only negative thing surrounding cannabis is the health issues of smoking, but you can even avoid that by cooking it to which there are many recipe circulating the web.
Whatever you decide to do make sure that its the right decision for you and not simply to appease other people, selfishness can be a good thing if not used to often.
Marijuana is mildly psychologically addictive and not physicaly addictive. It is within your power not to be affected when you run out. Nothing pisses me off more than someone who uses addiction as an excuse for being weak willed. Try telling an alcoholic who get the shakes when he hasn't had a drink in a day that the reason your bitchy is because you're out of pot. Some of you have real problems, pot is not one of them.
Awesome. You're a cop, aren't you?Quote:

So it's okay to be an alcoholic but not okay to discuss the possibilities of pot addiction? Interesting logic.Quote:

Whatever you do... don't blame the herb.
