Thank you, actually. I now better understand where alot of what goes down in the world starts (I assume you are not the only one who regards life this way).
Sadly, I think we'll never know. This could have happened millions of times now. We could have evolved way past our technology time and time again and have been wiped out by one of the trillions of things that can do such. This exact same question could have happend during the last big bang, or the one before that (if you believe in this theory) and we will never know.
If you honestly believe we're alone in this crazy thing we call space, then you're an insane. We're just a grain of sand on a beach, we're nothing.
To go back to the question about a wall, maybe the universe and beyond is sort of like "The Truman Show" where we are all part of a universal TV show, and our world around us is just the set. Maybe one day someone will reach the end and see a door, and "god" will tell them that they can live here and live the rest of their life out in peace and harmony. Then the man/or woman will open the door to the real world and that will be the end of the series. Whoa.
You see the universe as a place far away and large and a lot of empty space and question does it end...is there other life....whats one the other side.....
Everything we 'see', we are 'seeing' with 2 eyes. Thats it. Two eyeballs limited in the spectrum and the vibrations we can sense.
In this whole massive place called the universe, do you really think that two human eyeballs can 'see' what is really there????
Our eyes are so primitive, the only purpose they serve is to allow us to find food and avoid danger.
The 6th sense people....what is it for?
Do not believe that your eyes give you a true representation of the universe and whats out there.
It is not the things we CAN see that give you answers....
"...the universe is not only stranger than you imagine, it is stranger than you can possibly imagine..."
Isaac Osimov
apparently there has been a neverending cycle of "big bangs" that all follow the same pattern, ie, the bang, continual expansion and then shrinking back down to the 'blob' of atoms that are the building blocks of the universe, this blob then explodes and it all begins again.
question is; if these atoms are the start of everything, where did they come from?
everything AFTER the bang is easily explained
i am a man of science, but NO ONE knows the answer to this one.
in religion, of course, this easily explained, god made it (like, duh, man!)
Monotheistic religions generally maintain this notion;
2000 years ago jesus stated, shortly before his death, that he must "tend to his other flocks". The Q'uaran (bible of islam) makes reference to seven worlds with people in gods image, this is one of them.
I have no idea what the talmud has to say about it, as its fucking strange and i cant make head nor tail of it...
but basically all this kind of shit has made me wonder about my "hard line scientific" upbringing, but then again i dont have a clue really, and i dont think anyone ever will.
but sure fuck it, this stuff makes many a head hurt, hit a bong for me mofos
Just a thought...
If the Universe is infinite, that means that an infinite number of EVERY possibility exists in it. You can't dispute that.
So... there must be somewhere where someone created something that will destroy the universe in 1 second... it didn't happen though did it?
Or perhaps a machine that can destroy the entire universe in 1 second, i.e. causing transfer of information much much faster than the speed of light in defiance of the laws of physics, is an impossibility.
Im blazed but ill try and explain my theory. Space is nothing. Nothing is simply the absence of something. Sure there are planets, glaxies, and all sorts of shit in the space but they are not space, they are just in space. Space is just the area that these objects have the potential to occupy. And if the number of these objects keeps getting bigger and they keep showing up farther and farther away, there must be some vacuum for them to expand in at such a high rate for eternity. Now I dont believe these objects will continue to appear deeper into space forever, i believe that there will eb a big crunch. But that space that they had the bility to occupy will still be there. PEACE
Okay, so most of you guys understand the "Big Bang Theory", right? This is my theory on why scientist believe that space is constantly expanding: Take my "water ballon theory" for example. Imagine a tiny water ballon that is so condensed with water that the water pressure inside is uncaculatible. Also, this water ballon is very unstable. Then all of a sudden, it explodes and water goes in every direction at once! (Note: There is no gravity) Like I said, the very condensed water (energy) pressure was uncaculatible so, the water continuously expands in every direction, like space.
