well today i transplanted from 3 to 5 gallon pots ill never do that agian what a pain in the ass....just not enough room for soil to get to the sides but i managed ...next time ill go from 1-5 or 3-7 or something like that but never 3-5 fuck that........i decided to put them out in the sun for a little bit i feel like they are stretching way to much ...but hey what can i say my 1st grow ill get it sooner or later:gunfighter2:

has anyone used this and if so did they like it 745 cfm should be good enough..

even know their is so many DIY carbon filters and some look good ... im just ganna go and buy a factory buit one by Phresh Filters the specs on this filter are going to be as is.. Ill be going with the 8x24 or the 8x 39 not sure yet..Kinda price but when it comes down to it you can never be toooooo safe

Are you sure you need a fan this size? I recall that our rooms are similar sizes. For my new room I calculate that I could use a 340 CFM although I'm getting a 440 CFM for good measure and in case I find myself with more space in the future. I base my calculation on a complete air exchange every 5 minutes.
Here is the calculations needed to size the fan:
1. H' x L' x W' / 5 where 5 equals the number of minutes it takes to exhaust all air from the tent.
2. Take that number and add 10% for each foot of duct and carbon scrubber.
3. Take the original number from item 1 and x by 1.5 for each 90 degree duct elbow.
4. Take the original number from item 1 and x by 1.3 to account for the resistance created by the scrubber.
Add up items 1 through 4. Add 15% to account for cooling needs and another 10% for good measure. This number represents the CFM rating of the fan you need to exchange air every 5 minutes.
If you want to calculate for 4 or 3 minutes just adjust the calculation in step 1.
Be sure to get a fan speed controller so you can dial it down.
room is 216 cubic feet and 24 square feet ...only a temp room so ill be in a little bit bigger room next grow ...thanks i almost forgot about a fan speed controler and all ..thanks you probably saved me a trip to the store or ordering it online
216 cubic feet so plug in the numbers:
216 / 5 = 44 (I'm rounding everything up) = air exchanged every 5 minutes
44 * 1.5 = 66 = one 90 degree duct elbow
44 * 1.3 = 58 = resistance of carbon filter
+ 44 = 10 feet of duct
+ 5 = +/- 10% for error
Add it up: 44 + 66 +58 + 44 + 5 = 217 CFM
You could add two more elbows and still get away with 340 CFM or go with a 440 for good measure and room for growth. How big is your next room?
my next room is 12.5 x12.5 x 9 foot ceilings---156 square feet 1406 cubic feet
i see the math u are doing still a little confusing but i havent really done math like that in 10 damn years:stoned:
1406 / 5 = 281 (I'm rounding everything up) = air exchanged every 5 minutes
281* 1.5 = 421 = one 90 degree duct elbow
281 * 1.3 =365 = resistance of carbon filter
+ 44 = 10 feet of duct
+ 5 = +/- 10% for error
Add it up: 281 + 421 +365 + 44 + 5 = 1116 CFM
if thats correct then i should just buy 2 One for over 1200 cfm and maybe keep the 8 in valuline 745 cfm running 2 ...Please correct me if i am wong:D
THOSE CEILING HEIGHTS may be between 7 1/2 to 9 i cant remember off the top of my head
