What OS do you use?

ever notice how beautiful desktop wallpapers people make for open source desktop environments are compared to the stuff people make for windows? lol

can anyone recommend a fast, stable, os i can install on this outdated laptop i frequently use. im running it on windows xp, its alright but it does lag a lot, this laptop originally ran windows 2000

Maybe you're looking at the wrong cause of your symptoms....Perhaps it's time for a memory upgrade, if lag is your problem?

oh damn i never thought about that. stupid laptop imma burn it if it keeps lagging like this

Recently switched from XP to Win7 Pro , it's not bad. Not to bad at all!:hippy:

Windows 7 home premium on main 2 comps, XP on our laptops, Umbutu Linux on bedroom movie comp, vista on Brother in Law's, XP on Sis in law, 7 home premium on Nana's laptop that is still with me. After I'm sure it works ok, I'll give it to her. :D

Windows 7. I had vista not long ago and hate it, 7 is much better.
