Coming to Cali....what county to move to?
That is what I found up there! You just have to keep your head low In Eureka/Arcata there is a food Co-op. Man, I don't think I should write the rest! But, lets' say you can get a lot of info in the parking lot! I spent many months up there, as a vacationer, several years ago. The people are just different and pretty friendly. Not up right, but mix with the locals in any Co-op, they are all into health food and organic anything! You'd be surprised!
I doubt the fog has a lot to do with that particular area, but they do have a lot of it there, call it "tullie fog" or something like that! Plus, close to the ocean. There use to be a sandwich type place called, "Katamaran"! Might ask descreet questions there, in McKinleyville. Very discreet. Not saying I know anyone there or what they do, but if it is still there, they have been in the area a long time and I am sure would be helpful in finding a house to your needs. Or the parking lot of the Co-op! Most there grow their own vegetables also! If you had something going on, it isn't like you'd want a realtor listing it to let anyone in, anytime! Would you? It is worth checking out! Could tell you a lot of stories, but, I do hope this helps. I just love that area! Go slightly east of it and around and north! Mix with the locals! Good luck!

don't be mistaken in the belief that you can just start 'growing medical pot', still plenty of legal probs in CA, too :( ... just ask Eddy Lepp, and his 'grow Co-Op' that WAS in Lake County, (one of the most pot-favorable counties) ... if you start a large co-op, you can expect to have your property seized, etc., and lots of time and money trying to get it back ... I'm really not trying to discourage, I'd just hate for a well-meaning person to come out here, thinking this is 'marijuana-la-la-land' ... the current situation here, is to DISCREETLY grow your small number of semi-legal plants, and keep your mouth shut about it ... just the facts, ma'am :wtf: ...

Great, getting all the right people giving you info! But, nothing like going and seeing for yourself! Google Earth and Zillow, doesn't do it justice! Hopefully, Humboldt will cool down. But, Willow Creek is out of the way and anything between Junction City and Arcata are pretty neat places! Too bad we can't talk! Everyone, particularly, the ones that actually have lived there all this time! I visited for a long extended time and never wanted to leave and havn't lost the urge to return! Am in a spot, I plan to get out of South. Cal for sure though! Veggii seems to have been around there a lot. I have seen Placerville, worked with people that retire there (a few too many transplants there, for the wrong reason); But, wherever MH is, may be a great spot. It is way south of Humboldt! You will not believe all the open country and trees (if any are left) up there! Depending on your needs and substance, you can go anywhere. Right now, it seems rough all over California. Surely, there will be a let up for a good stealth person. Hey, I thought, because I was legal, I could grow in my front yard. So, I've come a long way reading this site. But, I will never forget my 5 mos in Arcata/McKinleyville and a few in Junction City around Willow Creek. In Willow Creek, you get around a lot of small Indian tribes and, well, they are 'fun' lets' say! Hope to get you more info and hope more comes in from the locals up there. Did u try Craigs list, to find a local that will talk to you, discreetly about 'relocating to Humbloldt or surrounding area" Once, you establish a relationship, you may hit the jackPot! A friend of mine did that when trying to relocate, somewhere else! Take care and be sure to take your family and green thumbs! You can grow all your veges there and it is awesome. Everyone is into it! You'll find local grown organic anything up there! AS EVERYONE SAYS, BE CAREFUL AND NOT GREEDY, STAY WITHIN LAWS-ON YOUR LAND! and like the people there, keep your mouth shut. Looking forward to more of this search! It is exciting to see someone doing what I should have at your age! Now, I am waiting for right opportunity!:hippy:

hey stealth crew I've followed your first led thread and am definitly subscribed to the new one too. I'm also out here in Cali.
I'd say if you want to move out to Sonoma co. Where Iv'e lived awhile in the past be ready to pay alot for a place. Did you say you were looking to buy. I now live in Shasta co. where they follow the states guidelines, but I love it here. Trinity co. (although ablaze like this bowl of PK i'm burning ) is nice and has a higher tolerance from the local law enforcement. Everyone knows Humbolt is great for it. Which ever county you and your wife choose Cali is great to live, raise a family, and grow our favorite plants. Just be prepared if you go the collective route even though you got your papers in order the FEDS don't care.
so if you 3 are gonna come for sure I welcome you guys out her to the wild west... And make the move by november so thats three more votes for MMJ on the ballot...lol
